Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:\nParsons is seeking an experienced Scheduler to support a major program and construction management team delivering a large, complex industrial infrastructure project.\nReporting through the Project Controls Branch, the Scheduler will develop, maintain, update, and analyze the integrated project schedule. The selected candidate will coordinate schedule information across engineering, permitting, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, startup, and closeout while providing accurate progress and forecast information to program leadership and the Client.\nThis position is based near Little Rock, Arkansas and is part of a 4-5 year contract. During the first year, remote work is permitted. After the first year, the selected candidate will be required to either reside within commuting distance of Little Rock, AR or be willing to relocate to the area.\nPeriodic travel and coordination with program leadership, Client representatives, contractors, consultants, suppliers, and on-site personnel may be required.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nDevelop, maintain, update, and analyze detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.\nIntegrate engineering, permitting, procurement, fabrication, construction, testing, commissioning, startup, turnover, and closeout activities.\nEstablish activity coding, calendars, logic, sequencing, milestones, constraints, and progress-measurement requirements.\nReview contractor baseline schedules, updates, look-ahead schedules, recovery plans, and schedule narratives for compliance and reasonableness.\nEvaluate schedule quality, including activity logic, durations, open ends, constraints, float, critical paths, and required contractual milestones.\nTrack actual progress against approved baselines and verify reported status with engineering, construction, procurement, and field personnel.\nIdentify critical and near-critical activities, emerging delays, schedule variances, constraints, and potential milestone impacts.\nPrepare look-ahead schedules and coordinate upcoming decisions, submittals, permits, deliveries, inspections, tests, and other prerequisites.\nSupport the development and evaluation of mitigation plans, recovery schedules, alternative sequencing, and schedule-compression strategies.\nReview the schedule effects of design changes, field conditions, delayed decisions, procurement issues, and other project events.\nSupport the review of time-impact analyses, requests for time extensions, delay claims, and schedule-related change proposals.\nCoordinate with Risk and Cost personnel to support schedule-risk analysis, earned value management, forecasting, and integrated performance reporting.\nWork with commissioning personnel to incorporate system completion, turnover, testing, startup, training, and acceptance activities.\nPrepare schedule reports, milestone summaries, variance analyses, critical-path reports, trend charts, dashboards, and executive briefings.\nMaintain accurate and auditable schedule files, assumptions, narratives, approvals, progress records, and change histories.\nParticipate in progress meetings, schedule reviews, risk workshops, contractor meetings, and Client briefings.\nPromote consistent scheduling practices, accurate progress measurement, early warning, and transparent reporting.\nWork remotely during the first year, with the expectation of residing within commuting distance of Little Rock, Arkansas, or relocating to the area thereafter.\nSupport periodic travel and coordination with program leadership, Client representatives, contractors, consultants, suppliers, and on-site personnel.\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field and at least seven years of relevant construction-scheduling experience.\nAdditional directly related experience may be considered in place of the preferred degree.\nExperience developing and maintaining integrated schedules for large industrial, infrastructure, manufacturing, Federal, or government construction projects.\nExperience reviewing contractor schedules, performing critical-path and delay analyses, and developing mitigation or recovery plans.\nAdvanced proficiency with Primavera P6 and its reporting capabilities.\nStrong knowledge of critical-path methodology, schedule logic, float analysis, baselines, progress measurement, forecasting, and schedule controls.\nAbility to identify schedule deficiencies, performance trends, delays, and practical recovery options.\nWorking knowledge of time-impact analysis, change management, earned value management, and schedule-risk analysis.\nStrong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of schedule narratives, reports, and management presentations.\nProficiency with Microsoft Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.\nAbility to work independently and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and Client representatives.\nWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring:\nExperience integrating engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning schedules.\nFamiliarity with Deltek Acumen, Power BI, PMIS platforms, or comparable schedule-analysis and reporting tools.\nPlanning and Scheduling Professional certification.\nProject Management Professional certification.\nCertified Construction Manager certification.\nExperience supporting schedule-risk analysis, earned value management, time-impact analyses, delay claims, and requests for time extensions.\nExperience preparing executive briefings, critical-path reports, trend charts, schedule dashboards, milestone summaries, and variance analyses.\n Security Clearance
