Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:\nParsonsisseekinganexperiencedandhighlycapable SeniorConstruction Superintendent to support our role as the Main Construction Manager (MCM) for remediation and construction activities at the Faro Mine Complex. In this role, you will provide senior field leadership across multiple subcontracted work packages, ensuring that work is executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project scope, schedule, quality, and environmental requirements.\nWorking in a remote and challenging northern environment, theSenior Construction Superintendent will serve as a key site position for Parsons, overseeing daily field execution, coordinating subcontractors and site interfaces, and supporting the successful delivery of complex construction activities at the Faro Mine Complex.\nThis position requires travel to the Faro Mine Complex and is based on a 2-week on-site / 2-week off-site rotation.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing:\nProvide overall field leadership for construction execution across multiple subcontracted work packages at the Faro Mine Complex.\n\nRepresent Parsons on site as the MCM lead related to construction activities, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.\n\nOversee daily construction site operations and monitor subcontractor performance for compliance with scope, schedule, quality, safety, and environmental expectations.\n\nCoordinate subcontractors, field personnel, vendors, equipment, and site logistics to support construction sequencing and execution.\n\nWork closely with project management, engineering, procurement, and client representatives to ensure alignment between field activities and overall project objectives.\n\nIdentify field constraints, interface risks, and execution issues early, and work collaboratively to resolve them before they affect cost, schedule, or productivity.\n\nReview drawings, plans, specifications, and work package requirements, and clearly communicate expectations to subcontractors and field teams, as and when required.\n\nAssist in monitoring progress against project schedules and support recovery planning where required to maintain project milestones and delivery targets.\n\nEnforce Parsons’ health, safety, and environmental requirements and promote a strong, proactive safety culture across all site activities.\n\nLead field-level quality assurance and quality control oversight to ensure construction activities are completed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, inspection and test plans, and project quality requirements.\n\nVerify that subcontractors are implementing required quality processes, inspections, testing, documentation, and deficiency tracking in accordance with project standards and contract requirements.\n\nConduct regular site inspections and field reviews to confirm compliance with quality standards, design intent, regulatory requirements, and permit conditions, and ensure deficiencies are identified, documented, and addressed in a timely manner.\n\nCoordinate with project quality personnel, engineering, and subcontractors to resolve non-conformances, clarify technical requirements, and support corrective actions where needed.\n\nMaintain accurate daily reports, site records, progress updates, and field documentation.\n\nReview and support completion of quality-related records, including inspection reports, turnover documentation, deficiency lists, and construction completion records.\n\nParticipate in site coordination meetings, subcontractor meetings, and construction planning sessions.\n\nSupport workforce planning, construction readiness, site access coordination, and material and equipment flow to maintain continuity of work.\n\nEnsure construction work is carried out in accordance with regulatory requirements, site-specific permits, environmental obligations, and company procedures.\n\nBuild and maintain positive working relationships with the client, subcontractors, project teams, local and Indigenous communities, and other external stakeholders.\n\nWhat Required Skills You’ll Bring:\nBachelor's Degree in construction-related field (or equivalent construction-related work experience), and typically 15+ years of experience in field construction is required. Experience in the construction of large civil/structural and/or industrial projects at domestic and/or foreign locations is preferred.\n\nSignificant experience in a General Superintendent, Senior Superintendent, or senior field construction leadership role.\n\nStrong background in civil, mining, heavy industrial, infrastructure, or remote northern construction projects.\n\nDemonstrated experience overseeing and coordinating multiple subcontractors and work fronts within a construction management environment.\n\nStrong understanding of construction execution, work packaging, sequencing, scheduling, field productivity, quality control, and contractor oversight.\n\nProven ability to lead field teams in remote and logistically complex project environments.\n\nStrong knowledge of health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements, with a demonstrated commitment to safe and compliant work execution.\n\nAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, technical documents, and contract requirements.\n\nExcellent leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.\n\nExperience preparing and reviewing daily reports, progress updates, field documentation, and construction records.\n\nProficiency with construction reporting systems and standard project documentation tools.\n\nWhat Desired Skills You’ll Bring:\nExperience working in northern or remote construction environments.\n\nKnowledge of Yukon construction standards, permitting, and environmental compliance requirements.\n\nSafety certifications such as WHMIS, CSTS, First Aid, or equivalent.\n\nExperience on government, transportation, industrial, mining, resource-sector, or heavy civil projects.\n\nThis position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.For more than 80 years, our experts have designed and delivered the critical infrastructure that connects and protects communities around the world.
