The Senior MEP Engineer is responsible in the areas of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, focusing primarily on HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) including developing polices, standards, inspection procedures, and evaluation tools for MEP matters involving judicial branch facilities. Coordinates for activities such as plumbing, Fire Protection and Electrical engineering as part of the project requirement and ensure compliance based on the standard and statutory requirements. Experience in stadium or large public venue projects is strongly preferred due to their specialized and complex nature.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nLead the development of MEP systems for the projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and client requirements.\nManage MEP aspects of projects from conception to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating with other disciplines and stakeholders.\nReview, validate, and approve HVAC system designs, load calculations, equipment selections, and technical submissions.\nEnsure MEP/HVAC design compliance with local codes (e.g., ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, or local authority regulations).\nProvide technical guidance and expertise in MEP systems design, installation, and operation, resolving complex engineering challenges as they arise.\nEnsure the quality and integrity of MEP designs and installations through thorough reviews, inspections, and testing protocols.\nLead and mentor a team of MEP engineers and designers, fostering their professional growth and ensuring high standards of performance.\nCollaborate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to procure MEP equipment and materials, ensuring compliance with specifications and schedules.\nIdentify potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.\nServe as the primary point of contact for clients regarding MEP systems, addressing their concerns, and providing technical expertise and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.\nEnsure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards governing MEP systems design, installation, and operation.\nStay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in MEP engineering, implementing innovative solutions, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project outcomes and efficiency.\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering\nProfessional certificate in MMUP Engineer Registration (UPDA) is preferred.\n10+ years of experience in MEP engineering, focusing on construction oversight.\nExperience in stadium or large public venue projects is strongly preferred\nExperience in PMC roles is preferred.\nMastery of engineering software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and MEP modeling software for designing and analyzing MEP systems.\nWhat desired skills you'll bring:\nComprehensive understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including design principles, installation methods, and operational requirements.\nMastery of engineering software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and MEP modeling software for designing and analyzing MEP systems.\nFamiliarity with building codes, regulations, and standards governing MEP systems, ensuring compliance with local, national, and international requirements.\nStrong project management abilities to oversee MEP projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and coordination with other disciplines and stakeholders.\nExcellent problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex technical issues related to MEP systems, ensuring efficient and effective project delivery.\nERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.\nParsons equally employs representation at all job levels no matter the race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability or genetic information.We truly invest and care about our employee’s wellbeing and provide endless growth opportunities as the sky is the limit, so aim for the stars!
