Job Description:\nParsons is looking for an exceptionally talented Senior Environmental Engineerto join our site-based Construction Supervision team on a major landmark development project in Riyadh.\nThe project comprises the design, enabling, and main works for a large-scale destination development featuring several iconic assets, hospitality facilities, and supporting infrastructure. Delivered under a client governance framework with stringent programme, quality, safety, and sustainability requirements, the Construction Supervision Consultant (CSC) is responsible for providing independent, end-to-end supervision and management, ensuring that all works are completed, integrated, tested, commissioned, and handed over to support both successful operations and long-term legacy objectives.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nLead and oversee environmental compliance activities across project sites.\nEnsure compliance with project environmental requirements, permits, and applicable local regulations.\nDevelop, implement, and monitor Environmental Management Plans (EMPs).\nConduct environmental inspections, audits, and site assessments to identify risks and ensure compliance.\nReview contractor environmental plans, method statements, and environmental reports.\nMonitor environmental performance and recommend corrective and preventive actions.\nAssess and mitigate environmental impacts related to construction activities.\nCoordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities on environmental matters.\nPrepare environmental reports, compliance documentation, and performance metrics.\nMonitor waste management, pollution prevention, resource conservation, and sustainability initiatives.\nSupport biodiversity, ecology, and environmental protection requirements where applicable.\nInvestigate environmental incidents and ensure implementation of corrective actions.\nProvide environmental awareness training and guidance to project teams.\nSupport environmental permitting and approval processes.\nPromote sustainability and continuous environmental improvement across project activities.\nMentor and provide technical guidance to junior environmental staff.\nParticipate in testing, commissioning, handover, and project closeout activities from an environmental perspective.\nPerform other duties related to environmental management as assigned.\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nBachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field.\nMinimum 10+ years of environmental experience, preferably on large-scale infrastructure, construction, or development projects.\n What Desired Skills You'll Bring:\nStrong knowledge of environmental regulations, environmental impact assessments (EIA), and environmental management systems.\nExperience implementing ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems.\nKnowledge of sustainability, waste management, pollution prevention, and environmental compliance requirements.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office and environmental reporting systems.\nProfessional environmental certifications are an advantage.\nMembership in a recognized environmental professional organization is preferred.\nParsons equally employs representation at all job levels no matter the race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability or genetic information.\nWe truly invest and care about our employee’s wellbeing and provide endless growth opportunities as the sky is the limit, so aim for the stars!
