In this role you will get towork closely with a variety of professionals onContaminated SitesandInfrastructure Projects.\nRole will be hybrid with potential to work from home 2 days/week.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nThe responsibilities for this position will include project managementof complex remediation projects,directinginvestigationsand remediationdesignsandreviewingreports forenvironmental site investigation (ESA), excess soil planning, and remediation projectsfor a variety of public and private sector clients.Specific job description includes but is not limited to the following:\nProvide technical leadership,project managementand technical support related toESA and Remediation projectsincluding investigations,remediationdesignandexcess soilplanning,investigationand management.\n\nPhaseOneandTwoEnvironmental Site Assessments to CSA and O.Reg.153/04 requirements;\n\nRemedial design and site remediationoversight:including excavations, ISCO, bioremediation, permeable and impermeable barriers, and mechanical technologies (air sparge,pumpand treat, dual phase extraction,etc), sediment remediation, mine closures\n\nExcesssoil andwastemanagement on infrastructure projects, contributing to planning and design inputs as perO.Reg. 406/19\n\nPeer review of technical documents and reports;\n\nSupport business development activities including proposal preparationon major and minor pursuits;\n\nProject Management, technicaldirectionandreviewon:\n\nESA and remediation related projects\n\nTracking andmaintainingbudgets and project finances;\n\nPreparing Reports;\n\nMaintain client relationships in various industries;\n\nLiaise and support other engineeringdisciplines.\n\nPrimary point of contactwith clients, junior staff, and other project managers.\n\nFor the right candidate,(to be evaluated upon joining the team)tobepart of ourfunctionalmanagementteam tomentorand develop ourE&E professionals\n\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nBS Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related degree\n\nCurrently a Qualified Person(i.e.licensedP.EngorP.Geo)as defined by Ontario Regulation 153/04, having 15 + years of consulting experience at an engineering firm with strong experience in the applicable federal and provincial environmental laws and regulations within the Ontario jurisdiction.\n\nSuccessful experience in managing large clients that may be developers, national industrialclientsand government agencies.\n\n5+ yearsmanaging contaminated sites projectswith consulting valuesover $500K.\n\nDemonstrated experience with filing of Record of Site Conditionsincluding anunderstandingof the Tier 2 and 3 Risk Assessment processunderO.Reg. 153/04.\n\nExperience working with diversemultidiscipline and/or internationalproject teams.\n\nAptitude to resolve differences in technical opinions with other senior environmental professionals\n\nTrack recordofdeliveringhigh qualitywork products\n\nStrong project managementacumen to deliver projects within schedule and budgets.\n\nFinancially literate from a project management perspective\n\nWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring:\nHistory of managing/mentoring teamswith a demonstrated history of staff retention and developing junior and intermediate careers\n\nKnowledge and experience with Emerging Contaminants including PFAS and microplastics\n\nExpertise withadditionalenvironmental issues (ie. sediment investigation/remediation, un-exploded ordinance, mine reclamation)\n\nBusiness Development attributes, including networking andattractingnew clients to our team\n\nThis position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.For more than 80 years, our experts have designed and delivered the critical infrastructure that connects and protects communities around the world.
