Want to take your Engineering expertise to the next level to work on tough projects that will make a huge impact on the community?\nParsons is now hiring experienced Senior Highway Design Engineer (Site) with a desire to work on infrastructure projects that change the fabric of our community. Parsons extensive experience in this field, combined with your engineering knowledge, will propel your career forward with opportunity for advancement with top performance.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nPerforms complex engineering tasks and particularly important engineering work efficiently and accurately.\nExtracts engineering information from CAD drawings. Prepares engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs.\nCompletes a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes. \nFrequently interfaces with other Engineering disciplines as well as other departments.\nPrepares detailed requisitions for equipment and materials.\nReviews supplier drawing submittals and performs technical bid analyses.\nVerify Design Documents and contractors shop drawings and submittals and provides technical feedback.\nPrepares and issues specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.\nProvides technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower level Engineers working on the same project. \nMay be required to provide the seal and signature of the professional engineer, as appropriate, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and ordinances.\nMay act in an advisory capacity to senior management personnel on engineering related matters.\nPerforms other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nBachelor's degree in Engineering (or related field) from a recognized university.\nMore than 8 years of related highway design experience.
