Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nConduct research on new materials of special interest in nuclear reactors.\nConduct studies related to the detection and control of radiation and radioactive contaminants.\nStudy nuclear fuel cycle to define most economical uses of material and safest means of waste products disposal\nRecommend various technology options or approaches for system, processes, facility or program improvements in terms of safety, performance, efficiency or costs.\nManage the programmatic and technical requirements and development of relevant planning documents. Manage the planning and design of engineering-scale demonstration and test facilities as needed.\nCollaborate with other agencies and industry in addressing the regulatory, technical, and institutional issues to enable the licensing, construction and operation of fuel cycle facilities.\nCollaborate with the nuclear industry to assure coordination of technical goals regarding the research activities and/or the design, construction, and operation of fuel cycle research and demonstration facilities.\nProvide engineering and technical support for the construction, overhaul, testing, and operations of propulsion and reactor plant components.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.\nDevelop and implement radiation safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.\nConduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nBachelor’s degree in Nuclear or Mechanical engineering.\nMinimum of [20] years of experience in nuclear engineering, with a focus of development of diverse skillsets\nFamiliarity with various nuclear codes and standard, as well as common nuclear engineering software.\nWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring:\nCommunicates effectively orally and in writing. Present ideas clearly and in professional manner. Develops cooperative working relationships and open communication within and across groups, to work towards solutions that benefit all involved parties.
