In this role, you will be responsible for leading planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring activities for roads, drainage, utilities, and associated infrastructure works. You will support the project team in ensuring effective planning, performance monitoring, schedule control, and timely delivery of project objectives in accordance with contract requirements and client expectations.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nLeading planning and scheduling activities for the project and ensuring alignment with project objectives, milestones, and contractual requirements.\nReviewing and monitoring contractors' baseline programmes, recovery programmes, revised schedules, and look-ahead plans.\nEvaluating project progress and performance against approved schedules and identifying potential delays and risks.\nAnalyzing critical path activities, project constraints, and schedule impacts, and recommending appropriate mitigation measures.\nMonitoring progress of roads, drainage, utilities, structures, and associated infrastructure works.\nSupporting project controls activities through schedule reviews, progress assessments, and performance reporting.\nPreparing and reviewing project dashboards, progress reports, presentations, and planning reports for project management and client review.\nCoordinating with Resident Engineers, Site Engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders to obtain and validate progress information.\nReviewing contractors' resource loading, sequencing, productivity rates, and work plans to support efficient project execution.\nIdentifying planning and scheduling risks and supporting the development of corrective and preventive measures.\nAssisting in the assessment of delays, extension of time submissions, and schedule-related contractual matters.\nSupporting project management in forecasting project completion dates and evaluating project performance trends.\nParticipating in progress meetings and providing planning and scheduling updates to project management and the client.\nSupporting project close-out activities through schedule validation, progress verification, and final reporting requirements.\nContributing to continuous improvement initiatives related to planning, reporting, and project controls processes.\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring\nBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.\n14 years of experience in planning, scheduling, and project controls for construction and infrastructure projects, including 7 years in a similar role.\nExperience in planning and scheduling major roads, drainage, utilities, and infrastructure projects.\nStrong knowledge of project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, earned value principles, and project controls practices.\nStrong understanding of critical path method (CPM) scheduling techniques and schedule impact analysis.\nExperience evaluating project performance, identifying delays, and recommending mitigation and recovery measures.\nFamiliarity with delay analysis, extension of time assessments, and schedule-related contractual requirements.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.\nExcellent communication and coordination skills with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary project teams.\nProficiency in Primavera P6 scheduling software.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.\nMust be MMUP/MME certified in Qatar.\nWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring\nProfessional certifications such as PMP, PSP, AACE, or equivalent project controls credentials.\nExperience delivering major roads, highways, drainage, utilities, and infrastructure projects in Qatar or the GCC region.\nFamiliarity with Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS) and local authority requirements.\nExperience working on large-scale infrastructure construction supervision projects.\nWorking knowledge of FIDIC contracts and contract administration procedures.\nExperience supporting delay analysis, claims review, and extension of time evaluations.\nExperience coordinating with clients, contractors, government authorities, and project stakeholders.\nDemonstrated success in improving project performance and achieving key project milestones.\nExperience utilizing advanced reporting, dashboard, and project controls tools to support project performance monitoring and decision-making.\nParsons equally employs representation at all job levels no matter the race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability or genetic information.We truly invest and care about our employee’s wellbeing and provide endless growth opportunities as the sky is the limit, so aim for the stars!
