In this role you will get to lead project planning, scheduling, progress measurement, reporting, and schedule risk management activities for large-scale construction and infrastructure projects.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nThe role will ensure that project schedules are fully integrated, accurately reflect project progress, and remain aligned with strategic objectives, contractual obligations, program milestones, and delivery requirements.\nThe successful candidate will work closely with project management consultants, contractors, designers, internal stakeholders, and senior leadership to provide reliable schedule information, identify emerging risks, and support timely project delivery.\nDevelop, maintain, and align detailed project schedules with the Integrated Master Schedule, ensuring consistency with program milestones, delivery phases, and approved project objectives.\nLead planning and scheduling activities for large-scale projects, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities, contractual requirements, and agreed delivery timelines.\nEnsure that project schedules, progress reports, and planning deliverables comply with established planning standards, project governance requirements, reporting procedures, and contractual obligations.\nCoordinate with project management consultants, contractors, designers, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure schedule integration and consistency across all work packages and project interfaces.\nEstablish and maintain effective progress measurement systems, including physical progress, weighted milestones, earned value indicators, key performance indicators, and other approved measurement methodologies.\nProduce accurate, timely, and auditable project status reports for project teams, senior management, and other relevant stakeholders.\nConduct detailed schedule reviews, forensic schedule assessments, critical path analysis, time impact analysis, and delay analysis.\nAssess contractor schedules, extension-of-time submissions, delay claims, disruption claims, and recovery programmes, supporting the evaluation of contractual entitlement in accordance with applicable contract provisions.\nLead the development, review, and update of baseline schedules, look-ahead schedules, recovery schedules, acceleration programmes, and revised delivery strategies.\nOperate and promote the effective use of Primavera P6, project management information systems, business dashboards, and other planning and reporting tools to improve visibility, accuracy, and reporting efficiency.\nIdentify project and programme schedule risks, assess their potential impact, and develop appropriate mitigation, recovery, and acceleration strategies to protect critical delivery milestones.\nMonitor critical and near-critical activities, float consumption, schedule trends, interfaces, and key project constraints, ensuring that emerging issues are escalated promptly.\nImplement and maintain standardized planning procedures, reporting templates, schedule coding structures, progress measurement systems, and governance processes across applicable construction packages.\nEnsure that standardized procedures are applied consistently while allowing for project-specific requirements and contractual conditions where necessary.\nProvide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to planning engineers, schedulers, project controls personnel, and other members of the project team.\nSupport project reviews, progress meetings, risk workshops, commercial assessments, change control processes, and executive reporting activities.\nReview contractor and consultant submissions to ensure that schedules are logical, resource-loaded where required, properly linked, and aligned with approved project requirements.\nMaintain accurate planning records, schedule narratives, progress evidence, assumptions, constraints, and supporting documentation for audit, commercial, and contractual purposes.\nRequired Qualifications and Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.\nPostgraduate qualification in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering Management, Planning, or a related field is advantageous.\nMinimum of 15 years of professional experience in project planning, project controls, scheduling, or construction management.\nExtensive experience in large-scale construction, infrastructure, engineering, or development projects.\nProven experience managing complex, multi-disciplinary programmes with multiple contractors, consultants, interfaces, and delivery packages.\nStrong experience in Primavera P6 scheduling software.\nPractical experience in schedule analysis, delay analysis, critical path assessment, time impact analysis, and extension-of-time evaluations.\nExperience in progress measurement, earned value management, weighted milestones, performance reporting, and project controls systems.\nExperience supporting contract administration, claims assessment, change management, and evaluation of contractual entitlement.\nMiddle East project experience is desirable but not essential.\nProfessional membership or certification with a recognized engineering, project management, or construction body is advantageous.\nTechnical Skills\nAdvanced Primavera P6 knowledge and scheduling capability.\nStrong understanding of integrated master scheduling and programme controls.\nProficiency in project management information systems and business intelligence dashboards.\nKnowledge of construction planning methodologies, project controls, and reporting standards.\nUnderstanding of critical path method, schedule logic, float analysis, resource loading, and schedule performance measurement.\nAbility to interpret contracts, programme requirements, and relevant planning provisions.\nStrong analytical, reporting, and presentation skills.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.\nKey Competencies\nStrategic planning and programme management.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving ability.\nAttention to detail
