Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:\nParsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior QS to join our team!\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nTake care of the financial and contractual aspects of the project/ programme.\nParticipate, record and prepare the minutes of the progress meetings.\nProvide support on all financial and contractual matters throughout the course of the work in the project.\nFinalize the Contractor’s monthly payment certificates.\nMake sure that all cost and quantity records are streamlined and kept in order.\nAdvise the SRE and RE’s on measurement procedures and calculation of interim and final quantities.\nEvaluate the unit rates for new work items.\nEstablish the way of recording the details and monitor the day works recording and process\nLead in the preparation of variation orders.\nLead in the evaluation of claims.\nAdvice on contractual matters related to financial issues\nEnsure completeness and validity of all contractual requirements\nAdvise on contractor’s resource allocation.\nPrepare financial statements for monthly report.\nEnsure prompt submittal and completeness of valuations.\nCheck and record measurements of completed work.\nMonitor contracts final cost estimates.\nCoordinate and monitor activities of his team.\nPrepare Final Account with all supporting documentation\nMust be prepared to Work in the Field within Client offices and site offices\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nBachelor's degree in quantity surveying or construction management or related field (or equivalent experience).\nMandatory 10+ years post graduate experience in all aspects of quantity surveying with at least the last 6 years being in the UAE\nProven experience in analyzing contract variations and claims\nExperience in contracts engineering under construction supervision project is a must.\nExcellent written contractual correspondence and verbal communication skills.\nMust have a clear understanding of, and ability to work with, construction contract commercial documents, engineering drawings and specifications, and be qualified to be a QS team leader\nWorking knowledge of software typically associated with quantity surveying and familiarity with typical project controls software such as Primavera scheduling software, Estimate/Schedule Transfer tools, Contract Manager, and DMCS (Document and Materials Control System) is required.\nMust be available in UAE.\n What Desired Skills You'll Bring:\nQualified and chartered by a recognized international body such as Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) will be an added advantage.\n8+ years of related work experience in road & infrastructure projects is preferred.\nAbility to perform difficult estimating activities typical to the engineering and construction industry is required.\nParsons equally employs representation at all job levels no matter the race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability or genetic information.We truly invest and care about our employee’s wellbeing and provide endless growth opportunities as the sky is the limit, so aim for the stars!
