In this role you will get to combine deep radar system knowledge with advanced reverse engineering capabilities to analyze, characterize, and document complex radar architectures.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nRadar System Reverse Engineering\nConduct comprehensive reverse engineering of radar systems including ground-based and airborne platforms.\nAnalyze and characterize unknown radar waveforms, PRF patterns, and modulation schemes\nReverse engineer radar hardware including transmitters, receivers, antenna systems, and signal processing chains\nReconstruct radar system architectures, timing diagrams, and operational modes\nIdentify radar types (pulse-Doppler, FMCW, phased array, SAR, ISAR, etc.) through signal analysis\nSignal Analysis & Characterization\nAnalyze radar emissions across multiple frequency bands (HF through mmWave)\nPerform detailed waveform analysis including pulse characteristics, chirp parameters, and coding schemes\nDecode radar signal processing techniques and detection algorithms\nCharacterize radar performance parameters (range, resolution, sensitivity, PRF, duty cycle)\nAnalyze electronic counter-countermeasures (ECCM) and low probability of intercept (LPI) features\nHardware Analysis\nPerform and lead teardown analysis of radar components and subsystems\nReverse engineer RF front-end circuits, power amplifiers, and receiver chains\nAnalyze antenna arrays, feed networks, and beamforming architectures\nIdentify components, chipsets, and technology nodes used in radar systems\nConduct PCB analysis, circuit tracing, and signal flow documentation\nTechnical Intelligence & Documentation\nPrepare comprehensive technical intelligence reports on radar systems\nDocument radar capabilities, limitations, and operational characteristics\nCreate detailed technical drawings, block diagrams, and system specifications\nDevelop countermeasure recommendations and vulnerability assessments\nPresent findings to technical teams, management, and customers\nTechnical Skills - Radar\nRadar Theory: Deep understanding of radar principles, waveforms, and signal processing\nRadar Types: Experience with pulse-Doppler, SAR, ISAR, phased array systems, missile-borne seekers\nWaveform Analysis: Deep understanding of pulse compression, frequency modulation, phase coding\nSignal Processing: Deep understanding of matched filtering, Doppler processing, CFAR detection, tracking algorithms\nAntenna Systems: Knowledge of phased arrays, AESA/PESA, monopulse, beamforming\nTechnical Skills - Reverse Engineering\nRF Analysis: Proficiency with spectrum analyzers, VSAs, ELINT receivers, direction finding equipment\nSignal Intelligence: Experience with radar signal analysis, and characterization\nHardware Analysis: PCB reverse engineering, component identification, circuit analysis\nSoftware Tools: Proficiency with MATLAB, Python, GNU Radio, IDA Pro, Ghidra\nTest Equipment: Hands-on experience with high-end RF test equipment\nRequired Clearance:\nMust be a US Citizen\n\nCandidate must have an active TS/SCI Clearance with the ability to obtain/maintain a CI Polygraph\n\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience, OR Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience, OR a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with 2+ years of relevant experience\nStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities\nStrong technical writing and documentation skills\nAbility to work independently on complex, ambiguous problems\nStrong attention to detail and methodical approach\n What Desired Skills You'll Bring:\nExperience in signals intelligence (SIGINT) or electronic warfare (EW) environments\nBackground with military radar systems (air defense, fire control, surveillance)\nKnowledge of radar electronic support measures (ESM) and electronic attack (EA)\nFamiliarity with radar cross-section (RCS) analysis and stealth technology\nUnderstanding of space-based radar systems\nExperience with DRFM (Digital RF Memory) and radar jamming techniques\nSpecialized Knowledge Areas\nRadar Waveforms\nLinear FM (chirp), non-linear FM, Barker codes, polyphase codes\nFrequency hopping, pulse compression, intrapulse modulation\nLPI waveforms and spread spectrum techniques\nRadar Modes\nSearch, track, track-while-scan, spotlight, stripmap\nSynthetic aperture radar (SAR) and inverse SAR (ISAR)\nElectronic Warfare\nRadar warning receivers (RWR) and ESM systems\nElectronic countermeasures (ECM) and jamming techniques\nECCM features and anti-jamming capabilities\n Security Clearance Requirement:\nAn active Top Secret SCI security clearance is required to apply, however, the selected candidate must be able to obtain a Top Secret SCI w/Polygraph clearance prior to the start date.This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.The Federal Solutions segment delivers resources to our US government customers that ensure the success of missions around the globe.
