Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:\nSenior Resident Engineer\nQatar\nParsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Resident Engineer to join our team in Qatar! In this role, you will lead the construction supervision and delivery of major roads, drainage, utilities, and infrastructure projects. You will oversee site operations, manage multidisciplinary supervision teams, and ensure that works are completed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with contract requirements, quality standards, and client expectations.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nLeading and managing the construction supervision team and providing technical guidance throughout all phases of project delivery, while fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.\nOverseeing day-to-day construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.\nManaging project execution for schedule, quality, safety, risk, stakeholder coordination, and achievement of key project milestones.\nReviewing and approving contractors' technical submissions, method statements, shop drawings, inspection requests, and construction methodologies.\nMonitoring construction progress and proactively resolving technical, contractual, planning, and site-related issues through effective problem-solving and root cause analysis techniques.\nEnsuring compliance with all HSE requirements and promoting a strong safety culture across the project.\nCoordinating with the client, stakeholders, utility authorities, and contractors to facilitate project delivery and resolve interface issues.\nOverseeing QA/QC activities, including inspections, testing, and documentation.\nPreparing and reviewing progress reports, risk registers, project dashboards, presentations, and project performance updates for senior management and the client using appropriate digital and reporting tools.\nMonitoring and tracking project risks, issues, action items, and corrective measures to ensure timely resolution and effective project controls.\nSupporting project planning activities through the review and management of contractors' programmes, look-ahead plans, recovery plans, and progress monitoring processes.\nProviding input on schedule performance, delay mitigation measures, and matters related to claims, extension of time assessments, and prolongation costs where applicable.\nSupporting project close-out activities, including final inspections, testing and commissioning, punch list management, and handover documentation.\nDriving Lean implementation initiatives through daily huddles, Gemba walks, performance reviews, and continuous improvement activities to improve project delivery and operational efficiency.\nPromoting lessons learned practices and facilitating knowledge-sharing sessions, training initiatives, and team development activities across the project organization.\nEncouraging the effective use of digital technologies and AI-enabled tools to enhance productivity, reporting efficiency, data analysis, and decision-making processes.\nWhat Required Skills You’ll Bring\nBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.\n20 years of experience in construction supervision of major roads, highways, drainage, and infrastructure projects, including 10 years in a senior/management supervision role.\nExtensive experience managing multidisciplinary construction supervision teams on large-scale infrastructure projects.\nExperience coordinating with government authorities, utility agencies, and key project stakeholders.\nStrong understanding of project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and management of look-ahead plans.\nWorking knowledge of project controls, issue tracking, risk management, and performance monitoring processes.\nBasic awareness of claims management, Extension of Time (EOT), and prolongation cost principles.\nDemonstrated ability to identify root causes, evaluate alternatives, and implement practical solutions to complex project challenges.\nKnowledge of Lean principles, continuous improvement methodologies, and performance management practices.\nExcellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and client management skills.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and project tracking/reporting tools.\nFamiliarity with AI and digital tools that can support project delivery, reporting, and operational efficiency.\nMust be MMUP/MME certified in Qatar.\nWhat Desired Skills You’ll Bring\nChartered Engineer status or equivalent professional registration (e.g., ICE, PE, CEng) preferred.\nExperience delivering major roads, highways, drainage, and infrastructure projects in Qatar or the GCC region.\nStrong understanding of FIDIC contracts and contract administration procedures.\nProven ability to manage complex stakeholder environments and multidisciplinary teams.\nDemonstrated success in driving project performance, resolving challenges, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and achieving key project milestones.\nExperience in conducting training sessions, mentoring team members, and facilitating lessons learned workshops.\nExperience utilizing advanced reporting, dashboard, and digital productivity tools to enhance project performance and decision-making.\nParsons equally employs representation at all job
