Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:\nParsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Software Developer to join our team!\nIn this role you will get to design, develop, and support mission-critical information systems around the world.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nDevelop, enhance, and sustain production services and components written in Java and C/C++\nAuthor and maintain interface documentation (schemas, contracts, versioning strategy) and support integration testing\nParticipate in on-call rotation or operational support escalations as required.\nCollaborate with Network Ops, Infrastructure, and Field Engineering teams to diagnose end-to-end failures across distributed environments.\nDevelop and maintain build/deployment automation using GitLab CI/CD\nWrite unit, integration, and regression tests for critical services and interfaces\nFollow configuration management and change control practices required for distributed production systems.\nRapidly troubleshoot and correct software discrepancies to maximize system availability \nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring All Levels:\nBachelors degree and 10 years of experience in Software Engineering and/or Development.Alternatives are Masters and 8 years or a Phd and 6 years \n\nStrong proficiency in Java, Scala and/or C/C++ with production-grade development experience.\nExperience building and supporting systems that are distributed, high-availability, or operationally critical.\nWorking knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) and/or NoSQL databases (MongoDB preferred).\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD strongly preferred) and modern development workflows (code review, branching, tagging, release management).\nAbility to troubleshoot production issues using logs, metrics, and structured debugging approaches.\nStrong written communication skills: able to produce clear design notes, runbooks, and implementation plans.\nTop Secret minimum\nDomestic and/or international project travel may be required.\nWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring All Levels:\nActive TS/SCI w/ Polygraph preferred.\nExperience with systems deployed to remote sites with intermittent connectivity.\nExperience with migration/compatibility support across major version transitions e.g. Postgres to MongoDB.\nFamiliarity with: secure communications patterns (TLS, certificates, key rotation)\nmessage queues/event-driven patterns\nperformance profiling (CPU, memory, DB query optimization)\n\nExperience collaborating with field engineering and network operations teams.\nExposure to ELK stack usage patterns for operational troubleshooting and analytics.\n Security Clearance Requirement:\nAn active Top Secret security clearance is required for this position.This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.The Federal Solutions segment delivers resources to our US government customers that ensure the success of missions around the globe.
