Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:\nParsons is looking for an amazingly talented SeniorSubcontracts Administrator to join our team!\nThe Senior Subcontract Administratoris part of theProjectProcurement team specializingin themanagement oflargeconstructionandservicesubcontractsfortheEdmontonValleyLineWestLRTprojectinEdmonton,Alberta.The Subcontracts Administrator’s responsibilities will focus on administration of existing subcontracts and through the closeout process.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nManaging, coordinating and administrating subcontracts and major purchase orders to ensure cost, schedule, and performance requirements are met.\nManaging the subcontract change order process for in or out of scope items.\nVerification of progress and Rules of Credit (RoC) for billing activities / invoice processing.\nCoordinate, evaluate and process payment certifications\nMaintain organized system of digital records.\nAssisting with input/collection to and for monthly project reports for construction progress and status of contracts, billing, accruals, cost forecasting\nAssist or lead claim mitigation; managing legal, regulatory and commercial contract compliance\nUnderstand contractual risks and mitigate as necessary.\nPrepare reports to document progress, identify deviation from the construction contract\nDraft contractual correspondence\nLiaise with subcontractors to resolve issues in a timely manner\nCoordinate and review drawings, schedules, samples, alternate requests, and project change documents to ensure all project documentation is accurate and complete\nInvolvement in Substantial Performance/Completion review process, evaluating project completions and processing of final payments\nPrepare and coordinate change order documentation.\nAttend and conduct progress meetings, including preparing and issuing meeting minutes and tracking issues for resolution\nCoordinate project close-out documents for submission and forwarding to appropriate parties upon completion of the project\nMonitor and flag deadlines with time sensitivity\nSupport design and construction staff with reviews and provide feedback / mentorship as it applies to commercial risk and exposure.\nRepresent the organization professionally and act professionally with sub-consultants, suppliers, and subcontractor representatives\nAttend regular internal coordination meetings to report on progress and issues related to assigned projects\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nBachelor's Degree in Business Administration (or related field) and typically 3+ years of related work experience involving typical procurement activities, including subcontracting.\nLight Rail Transit project experience will be considered an asset\nFamiliarity with the formation of construction contracts including support service, construction, design and consultant agreements/contracts\nFamiliar with basic legal documents, contracts and correspondence\nAbility to manage and administer pre and post award construction contracts.\nFamiliar with Unit Price, T&M, and Lump Sum contracts.\nAbility to break down contract schedules into a framework to be used for progress monitoring \nAdvanced computer skills with emphasis on MS Office applications (specifically Excel and Word).\nContract formation experience would be considered an asset.\nSuperior attention to detail and follow up skills\nPreference will be given to applicants currently residing in Edmonton, Alberta\nAbility to negotiate the terrain of an in-process construction site, including climbing stairs and ladders, steep/ slippery terrain, walking, and working outdoors in all types of Edmonton weather and conditions\nThis position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.For more than 80 years, our experts have designed and delivered the critical infrastructure that connects and protects communities around the world.
