Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:\nSenior Wet Utilities Engineer\nAbu Dhabi, UAE\nParsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Wet Utilities Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to lead mid-level, junior engineers and digital staff for timely and efficient production of quality designs. This is a unique opportunity to deliver for high-profile clients in the public and private sector, and deliver for complex projects in the region.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nProvide technical guidance to Engineers and Designer.\n\nProvide supervision of design plan and profiles production for entire projects of small scale.\n\nLead development in production of more complex plans.\n\nReview plans and profiles for technical compliance with design objectives and clarity for construction.\n\nDevelop simple workflows / Templates to enable efficient repetition of design.\n\nApply advanced engineering principles to complex analytical models.\n\nCheck design deliverables from equal or less experienced Engineers\n\nDevelop the baseline design schedule for a small team at the start of each task.\n\nTrack progress of task assignments vs original baseline schedule.\n\nContribute as a productive and efficient team member to meet project deadlines.\n\nPrimary interface with client on all matters relating to work assignments for one engineering discipline.\n\nMentor staff on technical aspects including the potential to conduct on-site training of personnel.\n\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nBachelor’s Degree (Master Degree preferred) in Civil Engineering.\n\n8 + years related wet utility design experience.\n\nThorough knowledge of current technology in order to be able to select and apply appropriate engineering software for use on the project.\n\nAbility to mentor staff on engineering software’s Info Works ICM applications and processes.\n\nDetermines methods and solutions to be used for complex engineering problems and selecting the most efficient an economical manner to meet objectives. Capable of applying advanced engineering techniques and analyses within a single engineering discipline.\n\nFamiliarity with industry practices, codes and regulations.\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\n\nProficient in all software and able to act as mentor to staff developing skills.\n\nUnderstands QA/QC standard practices and procedures and guides staff.\n\nProficient in non-standard detailing.\n\nDevelop complex sketches and detailing for plans.\n\nDraft special provisions for specialty elements with reduced oversight.\n\nGood understanding of preparation of design reports.\n\n What Desired Skills You'll Bring:\nProfessional Engineer registration preferred (PE, Peng or CEng).\n\nPotential to perform in a leadership capacity.\n\nProvide input for design estimates for projects.\n\nTrack hours per task/sheet in design deliverables.\n\nSupport on the preparation of competitive technical and commercial proposals.\n\nAssist in the initial LOE necessary to cover all work within the proposed scope with minimal supervision.\n\nAbility to review, identify and propose mitigation to risks within proposed scope.\n\nAbility to clearly define and provide technical queries to clarify scope ambiguities.\n\nDevelop workflow process and specify the staff as per project requirements.\n\nParsons equally employs representation at all job levels no matter the race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability or genetic information.We truly invest and care about our employee’s wellbeing and provide endless growth opportunities as the sky is the limit, so aim for the stars!
