Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:\nSite Engineer (Drainage)\nQatar\nParsons is looking for an amazingly talented Site Engineer (Drainage) to join our team in Qatar! In this role, you will assist in the supervision and coordination of drainage construction works, ensuring that activities are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, quality standards, and project schedules while supporting the Resident Engineer in the successful delivery of the project.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nSupervising day-to-day drainage construction activities and monitoring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.\nAssisting the Resident Engineer in the management of stormwater drainage, foul sewer, culverts, chambers, pipelines, and associated infrastructure works.\nMonitoring contractor activities to ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved construction methodologies.\nReviewing inspection requests, work progress, and site activities to verify compliance with project requirements.\nCoordinating with inspectors, contractors, and other discipline engineers to ensure effective execution of drainage works.\nIdentifying site issues and construction constraints and recommending practical solutions to support project delivery.\nMonitoring construction progress against approved programmes and reporting any delays, risks, or concerns to the Resident Engineer.\nEnsuring compliance with all HSE requirements and promoting safe working practices throughout the project site.\nParticipating in site inspections, testing activities, and quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with project standards.\nReviewing as-built information and maintaining accurate site records and documentation.\nCoordinating interface activities between drainage works and other infrastructure elements, including roads, utilities, and structures.\nAssisting in the review of technical submissions, method statements, and shop drawings related to drainage works.\nSupporting testing and commissioning activities, punch list closure, and project handover requirements.\nPreparing technical reports, progress updates, and site documentation as required.\nContributing to continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge-sharing activities within the project team.\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring\nBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.\n10 years of experience in construction supervision of drainage and infrastructure projects, including 7 years in a similar role.\nExperience supervising stormwater drainage networks, sewerage systems, pipelines, manholes, culverts, and associated infrastructure works.\nGood understanding of drainage construction methodologies, temporary works, excavation activities, and utility coordination requirements.\nExperience monitoring contractor performance and ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards.\nFamiliarity with construction inspections, testing procedures, and QA/QC requirements.\nStrong communication and coordination skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.\nGood report writing and documentation skills.\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced construction supervision environment.\nMust be MMUP/MME certified in Qatar.\nWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring\nExperience delivering major roads, drainage, and infrastructure projects in Qatar or the GCC region.\nFamiliarity with local authority requirements, standards, and approval processes related to drainage infrastructure.\nExperience working on large-scale infrastructure construction supervision projects.\nKnowledge of FIDIC contract principles and construction contract administration.\nExperience coordinating with utility authorities, stakeholders, and contractors.\nDemonstrated ability to support successful project delivery while maintaining quality, safety, and client satisfaction.\nExperience utilizing project reporting and monitoring tools to support project performance and decision-making.\nParsons equally employs representation at all job levels no matter the race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability or genetic information.We truly invest and care about our employee’s wellbeing and provide endless growth opportunities as the sky is the limit, so aim for the stars!
