For this position, the Software Engineer will analyze, design, and implement advanced capabilities for armament systems at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ. The role includes design and implementation of decision aid software modules for new tactical fire control systems, with strong consideration for interoperability and software architecture openness.\nWhat you’ll be doing:\nDesign and development of software modules for U.S. Army tactical fire control systems in an Agile development environment\nRequirements analysis and traceability\nAuthoring design, interface, and user documentation\nSoftware configuration management using Git or similar tools\nSupport periodic design reviews\nSupport Agile sprint planning activities\nSupport demonstrations, exhibitions, and test events\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field\n5+ years of experience in software engineering\nExperience developing in one or more of (in priority order):Android Tactical Assault Kit (ATAK)\nAndroid\nJava, Kotlin and/or comparable languages\n\nTechnical leadership experience\nExperience in software architectures and integration\nExperience in algorithm development\nExperience with Development, Build and Configuration tools for example the Atlassian toolset (e.g., Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Confluence)\nExcellent organizational, communications, problem-solving and people skills, be a self-starter, and enjoy being part of and contributing to a hard-working team\nMust have the ability to quickly learn and creatively leverage new technologies\nProficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)\nMust be a U.S. Citizen and hold or be able to obtain a Secret security clearance. \nMust be able to travel.
