Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:\nStructural Engineer - Site Supervision (Bridges & Underpass)\nDubai, UAE\nParsons is looking for an amazingly talented Structural Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to assist the Resident Engineer in design review and construction related to structural works of the project.\nDon't miss this opportunity to directly contribute to the ever-growing infrastructure of Dubai!\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nReport to the Resident Engineer and assist in supervising the construction of bridges/viaducts works and associated items.\n\nCoordinate his direct activities with the other engineers and members of the construction supervision team.\n\nAssist the Resident Engineer in reviewing of shop drawings, design proposals, method statements and other activities including correspondence related to the bridges section and prepare replies for the review of the Resident Engineer.\n\nCoordinate with Parsons' design engineers for resolution of related issues.\n\nMaintain the daily diary and the daily reports by the inspectors.\n\nCoordinate with the contractor engineers on scheduling and application of resources.\n\nDirect, assist and monitor the performance of the inspectors and surveyors as applicable.\n\nConvene and chair special meetings with the service authorities, the contractor, subcontractors and other parties related to his work.\n\nEnsure accuracy and completeness of records.\n\nEnsure safety goals are achieved on the project and oversee implementation of safety procedures on the project.\n\nPrepare / Assist in the preparation of Weekly and Monthly progress reports.\n\nAct positively, and participate in all health and safety issues at site, as required by the Resident Engineer and the project safety representatives.\n\nProvide all necessary on-site direction and assist the Resident Engineer to issue site instructions with respect to utilities works and associated items.\n\nCheck and measure the performed work in his line of work, record and assist the Resident Engineer to display progress vs. programmed work.\n\nEnsure correctness and completeness of ‘as-built’ drawings within his line of work.\n\nKeep necessary records and as-built records and take charge of the handing over of the structural works to the respective service authorities and assist the contractor to obtain necessary final clearance.\n\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nBachelor degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university is required.\n\nMinimum of 10 years’ experience in construction supervision of of bridges and underpass is necessary.\n\nShould be able to review and justify the material submissions, analyze laboratory and technical reports, carry out acceptance sampling plans, testing and quality measures, ensuring the compliance with the project’s specifications.\n\nMust be fully computer literate and able to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports, etc. and any project specific engineering and construction relevant software.\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English with an excellent capability in written technical skills.\n\n What Desired Skills You'll Bring:\nExperience in all aspects of civil supervision of major bridges and infrastructure projects in the Gulf region is preferred.\n\nEngineering consultancy experience within UAE/GCC is preferable.\n\nParsons equally employs representation at all job levels no matter the race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability or genetic information.We truly invest and care about our employee’s wellbeing and provide endless growth opportunities as the sky is the limit, so aim for the stars!
