Parsons extensive experience in this field, combined with your developing engineering knowledge, will propel your career forward with opportunity for advancement with top performance. We need our engineers to be versatile, enthusiastic to work in highly flexible, team oriented environment and who have exceptional communication, analytical and management skills. In this role plan and design structures and facilities such as bridges, railroads, roads, airports, harbors, dams, irrigation projects, pipelines, tunnels, power plants and other projects. Analyzes proposed projects to ensure structural reliability, resource efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Performs a variety of engineering duties and may identify as sub-disciplines of Civil Engineering such as: geotechnical, municipal/urban, water resources, materials and/or coastal engineering.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nCompletes a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes, utilizing CAE/CAD as applicable.\nPrepares standard engineering computations, material quality takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs.\nPrepares detailed requisitions for equipment and materials.\nReviews small and portions of larger supplier drawing submittals and assists in performing technical bid analyses.\nPrepares and issues specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.\nProvides input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower level Engineers working on the same project.\nPerforms other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. \nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) and 7+ years of related work experience\nEngineer in Training (EIT) Certificate may be required\nMust be well knowledgeable of the BIM process\nWorking knowledge of CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering\nParsons equally employs representation at all job levels no matter the race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability or genetic information.\nWe truly invest and care about our employee’s wellbeing and provide endless growth opportunities as the sky is the limit, so aim for the stars!
