Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:\nParsons is looking for an amazingly talented Structure Lead Engineer to lead the structural engineering design review, coordination, technical governance, and construction support activities for a major Airport, Infrastructure, and Airfield Development Project. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the structural integrity, constructability, and compliance of all structural elements associated with passenger terminals, concourses, control towers, cargo facilities, maintenance buildings, airfield support structures, bridges, tunnels, retaining structures, utility structures, and associated airport infrastructure.\nThe Structural Lead Engineer will provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, overseeing multidisciplinary coordination, supporting construction activities, and ensuring compliance with project requirements, international engineering standards, and airport operational requirements.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nLead the review, coordination, and technical assessment of structural engineering designs for airport buildings and infrastructure.\nProvide technical guidance to structural engineers and multidisciplinary project teams throughout the project lifecycle.\nEnsure compliance with project objectives, engineering standards, contractual requirements, and client specifications.\nSupport engineering planning and resource coordination for structural engineering activities.\nReview structural calculations, design reports, finite element analysis (FEA), shop drawings, specifications, and engineering submissions.\nVerify the adequacy of reinforced concrete, structural steel, composite, precast, and foundation designs.\nReview structural systems for passenger terminals, concourses, cargo terminals, aircraft maintenance facilities, utility buildings, bridges, tunnels, retaining walls, and airfield support structures.\nLead value engineering initiatives to optimize structural solutions while maintaining safety, constructability, durability, and cost efficiency.\nCoordinate structural interfaces with Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Airfield, Utilities, ICT, Security, and Baggage Handling disciplines.\nEnsure proper integration of structural components within passenger terminals, runways, taxiways, cargo aprons, aircraft stands, utility corridors, and airport operational facilities.\nParticipate in BIM coordination workshops, clash detection reviews, and multidisciplinary design meetings.\nFacilitate timely resolution of engineering interface issues.\nProvide structural engineering support during construction, installation, temporary works, testing, and commissioning activities.\nReview contractor shop drawings, method statements, temporary works proposals, RFIs, and material submittals.\nConduct site inspections to verify compliance with approved structural designs and specifications.\nResolve technical issues affecting construction progress, structural performance, and project delivery.\nCoordinate with the Client, airport authorities, consultants, contractors, utility providers, and regulatory agencies on structural engineering matters.\nSupport engineering approvals, technical submissions, and regulatory reviews.\nParticipate in design review workshops, technical meetings, and project coordination sessions.\nEnsure structural engineering interfaces are effectively managed throughout the project.\nEnsure all structural works comply with project specifications, quality standards, international codes, and regulatory requirements.\nParticipate in technical audits, engineering reviews, and quality inspections.\nMonitor contractor compliance with approved structural procedures and construction methodologies.\nSupport implementation of continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team.\nIdentify structural engineering risks and develop practical mitigation strategies.\nLead constructability reviews and engineering risk assessments.\nEvaluate design changes and assess their impact on structural integrity, project schedule, and cost.\nSupport resilience planning and long-term asset performance objectives.\nPrepare and review structural engineering reports, design assessments, technical recommendations, and progress updates.\nMaintain accurate records of structural design reviews, approvals, engineering decisions, and site observations.\nProvide regular engineering progress reports, risk updates, and technical advice to Project Management.\nSupport preparation of project closeout documentation and asset handover requirements.\nPromote a strong safety culture across all structural engineering activities.\nEnsure structural designs incorporate Safety-in-Design principles and support airport operational safety requirements.\nSupport compliance with project HSE policies, environmental regulations, and sustainability objectives.\nContribute to safe construction practices and continuous improvement initiatives.\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering or a related discipline.\nMaster's Degree in Structural Engineering is considered an advantage.\nMinimum 10 years of experience in structural engineering design, design review, and construction supervision on major infrastructure projects.\nProven experience on airport terminals, airfield facilities, transportation hubs, or large-scale infrastructure developments.\nStrong experience in reinforced concrete, structural steel, composite structures, deep foundations, retaining structures, and complex building systems.\nExperience leading multidisciplinary engineering coordination and stakeholder engagement.\nStrong knowledge of international structural design standards including ACI, AISC, Eurocodes, BS Standards, IBC, and local regulatory requirements.\nExperience with structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, RAM Structural System, or equivalent.\nFamiliarity with BIM platforms and multidisciplinary digital engineering coordination.\nStrong understanding of airport terminal structures, airfield support facilities, cargo terminals, maintenance hangars, and associated infrastructure.\nExcellent analytical, technical review, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to lead technical discussions and multidisciplinary coordination meetings.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a complex airport project environment.\nWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring:\nProfessional Engineer (PE), Chartered Engineer (CEng), MIStructE, or equivalent professional registration.\nExperience on international airport expansion or greenfield airport development projects.\nKnowledge of ICAO, FAA, IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC, and other aviation-related engineering standards.\nExperience working under FIDIC or similar international contract frameworks.\nFamiliarity with seismic design, blast-resistant design, progressive collapse analysis, and resilience planning.\nExperience supporting Design-Build, EPC, PMC, or Delivery Partner project delivery models.\nStrong stakeholder management, technical leadership, and authority liaison experience.\nParsons equally employs representation at
