Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:\nParsons is looking for an amazingly talented Sr. Tech Writer to join our team!\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nPreparing, editing, and formatting technical documentation, including Site Survey Reports (SSRs), SIPs, and other project deliverables.\nReviewing engineering drawings, site survey data, technical specifications, and supporting documentation to develop accurate technical reports.\nEnsuring documents comply with established templates, formatting standards, and client requirements.\nProofreading technical documents for accuracy, clarity, consistency, grammar, and proper terminology.\nCoordinating with engineers, field personnel, and other project team members to obtain information and resolve documentation discrepancies.\nIncorporating review comments and maintaining document revisions throughout the review and approval process.\nPreparing and verifying tables of contents, figures, tables, references, and other supporting document elements.\nCompleting assigned deliverables according to established project schedules and deadlines.\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nBachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Technical Communication, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.\nTypically, 5+ years of related professional experience, including 3+ years of technical proofreading and editing experience.\nStrong written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.\nProficiency with Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and related document preparation software.\nAbility to interpret technical information and present it clearly and accurately.\nStrong attention to detail, including document formatting, consistency, and compliance with established standards.\nAbility to work independently, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines.\nWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring:\nExperience preparing or reviewing technical documentation for engineering, telecommunications, aviation, or government projects.\nFamiliarity with engineering drawings, technical specifications, and document control processes.\nExperience using Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and Visio.\nStrong problem-solving and research skills.\nAbility to learn new technical concepts and documentation requirements quickly.\nSelf-motivated, organized, and adaptable to changing project priorities.\n Security Clearance Requirement:\nNoneThis position is part of our Federal Solutions team.The Federal Solutions segment delivers resources to our US government customers that ensure the success of missions around the globe.
