Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:\nTechnical Engineer\nAbu Dhabi, UAE\nParsons is looking for an amazingly talented Technical Engineer to join our team! In this role you will be responsible for the planning, design review, coordination, and construction supervision of wet utility infrastructure systems including potable water, irrigation, sewerage, stormwater drainage, and recycled water networks. The role ensures compliance with client requirements, local authority standards, project specifications, and applicable engineering codes.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nReview detailed designs, calculations, drawings, and specifications for wet utility infrastructure.\nCoordinate the design of water supply, sewerage, stormwater, irrigation networks.\nConduct hydraulic analysis and network modeling using industry-standard software.\nReview shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical submissions.\nEnsure designs comply with local authority standards and international engineering practices.\nSupervise site activities related to wet utility installations.\nMonitor construction progress and ensure works are executed according to approved drawings and specifications.\nConduct inspections and witness testing, commissioning, and handover activities.\nIdentify and resolve technical issues arising during construction.\nReview contractor RFIs, NCRs, and construction methodologies\nCoordinate with multidisciplinary teams including roads, utilities, structures, landscape, and MEP disciplines.\nLiaise with clients, contractors, utility authorities, and other external stakeholders.\nAttend technical meetings and provide engineering support throughout project delivery.\nEnsure timely approvals from relevant utility authorities and government agencies\nEnsure adherence to QA/QC procedures and project quality standards.\nSupport HSE initiatives and ensure utility works are executed safely.\nMonitor compliance with contractual requirements and project specifications.\nParticipate in audits, inspections, and project reporting activities\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nBachelor’s degree in Civil, Water or Environmental Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university.\nMinimum 8+ years of wet utilities experience, including 5 years in a lead or team leadership role within UAE.\nStrong exposure in projects related with potable water, sewerage, stormwater drainage, irrigation, firefighting water, pumping stations, storage facilities, outfalls and utility diversions.\nExperience leading authority submissions, technical meetings, NOCs, approvals and comment resolution.\nIn-depth understanding of local authority standards, utility provider requirements, international codes, quality procedures, and safety requirements.\nExcellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, mentoring, and decision-making skills.\nAbility to attend in person interviews.\n What Desired Skills You'll Bring:\nMaster’s degree in related discipline.\nProfessional registration or chartership.\nProficiency in design documentation, hydraulic modelling, Civil 3D/AutoCAD, BIM coordination, GIS workflows, and clash resolution.\nStrong GCC/UAE infrastructure project experience preferred.\nTechnical knowledge of wet utilities planning, hydraulic design, hydrology, gravity and pressure networks, pumping, storage, and utility corridors.\nParsons equally employs representation at all job levels no matter the race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability or genetic information.We truly invest and care about our employee’s wellbeing and provide endless growth opportunities as the sky is the limit, so aim for the stars!
