Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:\nParsons is seeking a skilled Telemetry Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Targets and Countermeasures Engineering Directorates. In this role, you will provide critical engineering expertise to the team responsible for performing pre-mission trajectory validation and performance analysis for the for the flight test events along with onsite expertise during flight events.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nSupport the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Targets and Countermeasures (TC) program office with development of ballistic missile target vehicles\nSupport the TC System Engineering team in all aspects of target design, analysis, and test to include requirements development and assessment, modeling and simulation, test analysis and reporting\nUtilize knowledge, skills and experience with missile characteristics (physical, kinematics, signatures) and engineering to support engineering activities and data product development\nTechnical focus areas include vehicle telemetry and mission analysis\nConfigure and operate telemetry data acquisition equipment during test events\nPerform vehicle telemetry data decommutation, reduction, conversions, etc.\nGenerate target vehicle visualizations, situational awareness displays, and reports/briefings\nSupport mission planning, analysis, and reporting activities\nCollaborate with a dynamic team of experts in multiple technical areas to develop analysis and engineering tools\nUtilize knowledge, skills and experience with missile characteristics (physical, kinematics, signatures) and engineering to support engineering activities and data product development\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nActive DoD Secret security clearance, which requires US Citizenship\nBachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or related field, or equivalent work experience that meets guidelines established for job and 5+ years of related professional experience NOTE: Newly-hired PhD graduates are typically hired into this level.\n\nProficiency with MATLAB, Python, Java, C#, and other programming languages.\nStrong oral and written communication skills.\nProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).\n What Desired Skills You'll Bring:\nBachelor's Degree and 7+years of relevant experience\nFamiliarity with MDA and/or DoD programs and processes\nExperience supporting MDA and/or DoD test events\nExperience with telemetry systems and data processing\nExperience in any or all of the following disciplines: Design, CAD, Trajectory, Radar Cross Section (RCS) Signatures, Optical Signatures\nStrong attention to detail and ability to efficiently perform multiple tasks\nAbility to communicate detailed technical information to technical and non-technical personnel\n Security Clearance Requirement:\nAn active Secret security clearance is required for this position.This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.The Federal Solutions segment delivers resources to our US government customers that ensure the success of missions around the globe.
