Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:\nParsons is seeking a highly talented Utilities Vulnerability Assessment Engineer to join our team supporting critical Department of War missions and infrastructure.\nIn this role, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary assessment team to ensure mission continuity by evaluating the vulnerabilities and survivability of utilities and supporting infrastructure against a broad spectrum of threats, including accidents, natural disasters, technological failures, information system attacks, terrorism, radio frequency weapons (RFW), sabotage, and weapons of mass destruction (WMD).\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nReviewing and assessing the utilities that support the customer’s missions, as well as the facilities and organizations that rely on them, using a consistent and repeatable assessment methodology.\nIdentifying all aspects of utility-related vulnerabilities and their potential impact on mission execution capability.\nDeveloping and presenting recommendations to mitigate or eliminate identified vulnerabilities.\nProviding technical support to operational equipment, mission personnel, and mission operations throughout the assessment process.\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nSecret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain an Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.\nBachelor of Science degree in mechanical, electrical, nuclear, marine engineering, or a closely related discipline.\n3+ years of experience in one or more of the following utility domains:Electrical power systems: commercial power, backup power generation, power distribution, and uninterruptible power systems.\nEnvironmental control systems: refrigerated cooling, heating, humidity control, and waste heat removal.\nLife support systems: fresh air ventilation, potable water, food support, and sewage.\n Ancillary utility subsystems: fuel, compressed air, vacuum, filtration, and specialized utilities such as cryogenics (e.g., liquid nitrogen (LN) and liquid oxygen (LOX)).\n\nValid passport.\nAbility to travel internationally up to 20%.\nAbility to work in a hybrid role local to Fort Belvoir, VA; number of in-office days may vary based on mission needs.\nWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring:\nOperational experience from the U.S. Navy Nuclear Power Program, the U.S. Army Prime Power Program, or equivalent industry utilities experience.\nAbility to accept worldwide deployments, including to high-threat permissive areas that may present some risk to personal safety.\nAbility to adhere to CDC-recommended immunizations for worldwide travel.\nStrong oral and written communication skills.\nExpert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.\nAbility to prepare clear and comprehensive written reports, white papers, and PowerPoint presentations.\n Security Clearance Requirement:\nAn active Secret security clearance is required for this position.This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.The Federal Solutions segment delivers resources to our US government customers that ensure the success of missions around the globe.
