In this role, the successful candidate will collaborate effectively with colleagues and cross-functional teams, demonstrate strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, and maintain a commitment to professional excellence, quality and continuous improvement.\nThe Role\nThis role will be a part of a growing team that helps drive the success of the IT department by providing excellent customer service and technology experience. The IT Support Specialist will ensure PMS’s systems are efficient, secure and up to date, providing IT support and expertise to keep everything running smoothly across our global operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of curiosity and willingness to learn and grow with a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and customer focus.\nJob Responsibilities\nProvide first and second-level technical support for Particle Measuring Systems, software applications, and related hardware. \nTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently and effectively, escalating complex problems as needed.\nInstall, configure, and maintain computer hardware and software systems.\nProvide remote and on-site technical support to customers as required.\nDocument and track customer issues and resolutions.\nMaintain inventory of hardware and software assets.\nParticipate in the development and improvement of IT support processes and procedures.\nManage AD users and groups, permissions, and email systems.\nSupport Microsoft 365/Azure environment with emphasis on Outlook, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint applications\nContinuously evaluate processes for improvements in efficiency, quality, and safety\nThis job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Responsibilities may evolve over time, and other related duties may be assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the company.\nRequired Qualifications\nAssociate's degree in information technology or equivalent experience.\nStrong understanding of computer hardware and software systems.\nKnowledge and understanding of Microsoft 365 and Azure environment\nGeneral Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange (On-Premise and Online) \nGeneral Knowledge of Hypervisor technology (Hyper-V and VMware) \nUnderstanding of networking including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP \nUnderstanding of Microsoft Server technologies including Active Directory, File/Folder Permissions, Print Management, Remote Desktop, etc. \nExperience with cloud-based technology and applications.\nStrong documentation skills\nExperience with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nStrong and creative problem-solving and analytical skills. \nAbility to work in a fast-growing team.\nExcellent customer service.\nWork Environment & Physical Requirements\nThis role primarily operates in an office environment.
