This leadership position is responsible for managing environmental consulting projects, overseeing project delivery, mentoring technical staff, and supporting client service and business growth initiatives.\nThe ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in asbestos, lead, PCB, mold, indoor air quality, and remediation consulting services and has demonstrated success managing client relationships and leading multidisciplinary project teams.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES & TASKS\nProject Leadership\nManage multiple environmental consulting projects from proposal through final deliverable.\nOversee project scope, budget, schedule, profitability, and quality objectives.\nProvide technical oversight for asbestos, lead, mold, PCB, IAQ, and remediation-related projects.\nReview and approve reports, work plans, proposals, and client deliverables.\nEnsure project compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.\nIdentify project risks and develop solutions to maintain schedule and budget objectives.\nClient Management & Project Growth\nServe as a primary point of contact for clients throughout project execution.\nMaintain strong client relationships and provide responsive customer service.\nSupport proposal preparation, scope development, and fee estimates for new and existing clients.\nIdentify opportunities for additional services that support client objectives.\nCoordinate with regional and national teams to support practice growth initiatives.\nParticipate in industry and client outreach activities, as appropriate.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nLead a team of project managers and field techs in Southern California.\nConduct project research as applicable to scope of work (historical, analytical, etc.).\nData compilation and organization.\nTechnical report authoring and reviews.\nPreparation of quality supporting report documents/files.\nMaintain communication with team members throughout the course of the project.\nPlan, schedule and track project timelines and milestones to ensure project progress status is on schedule.\nProvide solid recommendations and solutions to clients, while understanding the assessment’s potential impact on the transaction process.\nIdentify and resolve issues with projects.\nDeliver appropriate progress reports (verbally or by email), recommendations to Client.\nCoordinate and respond to requests for changes in project scope.\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES\nExcellent communication skills (internal and external)\nAbility to work on projects concurrently\nProven ability to successfully deliver a quality product on time\nExceptional writing skills\nAbility to cultivate strong relationships within a team & clients\nQUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor's degree from accredited university in biological/physical sciences or engineering\n8+ year’s relevant experience in environmental consulting.\nCertifications for asbestos inspector (CSST/CAC), Lead Based Paint Risk Assessor, and Radon Inspector\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nMust be able to read, write, speak & comprehend English\nMust be able to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone\nVisual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screen\nRequires frequent bending, reaching, standing, walking, sitting, pushing and pulling exerted regularly throughout the work shift.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nThe employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
