Our ideal candidate for this dynamic and challenging role will be responsible for the following tasks outlined below.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nResponsible for performing field and laboratory sampling and testing\nObserving and testing for earthwork and concrete construction\nDriving to and from project sites and transporting equipment and samples\nOperating nuclear density gauge and other field equipment\nSampling of wet concrete and preparing specimens\nPreparing field inspection reports on laptop\nReading construction drawings and plotting test locations on drawings\nPhotographing site conditions\nAssisting project management team with geologic research\nPreparing site plans and other report exhibits\nAssisting with report and proposal preparation\nDaily Communication with project managers, contractors and/or client\nQUALIFICATIONS\n1+ years’ experience with field inspection, and material testing for soils and concrete\nGeology or Engineering degree is a BIG PLUS\nEIT, GIT, ACI, ICC certifications preferred\nDriver’s License in good standing, properly insured, capable of driving\nMust be able to work in an ambiguous, complex, fast-paced environment.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nMust be able to read, write, speak and comprehend English\nMust be able to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone\nVisual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screen\nRequires frequent bending, reaching, and standing, walking, sitting, pushing and pulling exerted regularly throughout the work shift.\nField work includes lifting items up to 40 pounds in weight, pushing wheelbarrows, digging with hand tools, etc.\nLaboratory work, including lifting and moving soil samples and lab equipment, sieving of soils and aggregate, etc. will be needed from time to time\nWe will consider qualified applicants who have criminal histories in a manner consistent with the law.\nBenefits:\nCompetitive benefits package including health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, vacation, and sick time, and a 401(k) plan with a company match.\nEqual Employment Opportunity\nIt is Partner Engineering and Science, Inc’s (The Company) policy to provide equal employment opportunity for all applicants and employees.
