Partner Engineering and Science, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Project Manager (5-8 years’ experience) to support our Environmental Solutions Practice in Framingham,MA\nThis role is ideal for either a Project Manager or a developing Project Manager transitioning from field and task-level execution into independent management of small-to-mid-size projects, while supporting senior Project Managers on larger, more complex remediation programs.\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities\nManage small-to-mid-size environmental projects to meet technical, regulatory, schedule, and budget objectives\nSupport senior Project Managers on large, complex remediation and multi-site programs\nPlan, schedule, and implement site investigations and remedial activities in accordance with applicable state regulations\nPrepare and review technical reports and regulatory submittals\nCoordinate internal teams, subcontractors, and field staff to execute projects in alignment with scope, schedule, and budget\nOversee quality control throughout the project lifecycle\nTrack project schedules, milestones, and financial performance, providing regular updates and recommendations\nCommunicate with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders regarding project status and key decisions\nProvide field oversight as needed to ensure execution aligns with project scope, budget, and safety requirements\nDelegate tasks and provide day-to-day direction to junior staff and field teams\nManage subcontractor and client invoicing and project cost tracking\nSupport proposal preparation, cost estimating, and work plan development\nIdentify scope changes and support change order development\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, including client coordination\nExperience investigating environmentally impacted sites\nStrong understanding of environmental remediation lifecycle\nAbility to manage multiple projects and competing priorities concurrently\nExperience translating field data into regulatory strategy and reporting\nStrong technical writing and report review skills\nWorking knowledge of project budgeting, cost estimating, and financial tracking\nAbility to lead small teams and coordinate subcontractors and field personnel\nProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)\nQualifications\n5-8 years of relevant environmental consulting experience, focused on site investigation and remediation\nExperience with state-specific environmental regulations in New England, strongly preferred\nBachelor’s degree in geology, environmental science, engineering, or related field\nAdvanced degree (optional) is a plus\nCurrent 40-hour HAZWOPER training\nValid driver’s license\nMust be able to work in an ambiguous, complex, fast-paced environment.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nAbility to read, write, and communicate effectively in English\nVisual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screen\nAbility to perform field-related activities, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to approximately 40-50 pounds\nAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditions at active project sites\nOccasional travel throughout New England, with limited additional travel as needed\nWhy Join Partner?\nExposure to a wide range of environmental site types and remediation technologies\nDirect project ownership with support from experienced senior leadership\nClear path for advancement into senior project management and increased responsibility\nCollaborative, high-performing team environment with strong technical leadership\nCompensation\nSalary Range: $100,000 -$125,000\nThe pay scale for this role considers a wide range of factors when making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
