design schemas, manage migrations, and write efficient SQL for relational databases.\nWrite and maintain automation and tooling in Bash, Python, and/or Go for builds, deployments, diagnostics, and test harnesses.\nOperate on Rocky Linux servers; troubleshoot across OS, networking, JVM, and database layers; daily development in IntelliJ or Eclipse.\nParticipate in peer code reviews, knowledge sharing, and SCRUM meetings; collaborate using the Agile software development lifecycle.\nAbout 85-90% of the programming for this role is in Java and SQL; the rest is scripting (mostly Bash and Python/Go).\nRequirements\nStrong experience developing applications using Java, with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles (concurrency, collections).\nHands-on with Spring Boot and Hibernate/JPA.\nExperience building RESTful APIs and writing unit/integration tests.\nStrong SQL and data modeling; hands-on with relational databases (e.g., MariaDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.).\nKnowledge of TCP/IP networking fundamentals.\nComfortable working in Linux (preferably Rocky/CentOS/RHEL): shell, system services, logs, performance troubleshooting.\nGood scripting skills in Bash and Python (bonus: Go).\nWorking knowledge of Git and CI/CD practices; IDEs: IntelliJ or Eclipse.\nBSCS or MSCS (or related technical field) with 5-6+ years of experience developing and supporting multithreaded applications in a Linux/Unix environment.\nBonus Skills\nLinux networking tools (iptables, ipset, ebtables), routing/bridging/VLANs, and packet capture/analysis.\nActive Directory integration experience (AD/LDAP/Kerberos), Windows domain concepts, service accounts/GPOs.\nCloud APIs: experience automating or integrating with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and/or OCI (SDKs/CLIs for compute, storage, networking, IAM).\nvSphere/ESXi for VM lifecycle management (provisioning, snapshots, virtual networking).\nVirtualBox experience, especially using the VBox CLI (vboxmanage) for automation.\nContainerization & orchestration: Docker and Kubernetes;
