Eligible for a $4.00 shift premium)\nAdhere to all safety policies and procedures; working in a safe and effective manner\nPerform service and preventative maintenance on all equipment within the DC\nRespond to all equipment breakdowns in a timely manner based on priority systems\nMaintain accurate parts and work order records (logged hours, Stores parts used, and detailed comments on failure cause/solution(s) or other relevant technical details) on computerized maintenance system (MAXIMO is an asset)\nPerform repairs with minimal supervision, take responsibility and make decisions to see the job to completion within time demands\nTroubleshoot electrical systems through the use of electrical schematics, personal computers, panel layouts or manufacturer's specifications to effect repair\nProvide information on equipment/system problems to coordinator and provide updates as required\nProvide required shift change hand-off information on equipment repairs or work orders to shift coordinator and incoming trades\nMake recommendations to improve equipment operation/efficiency, reduce maintenance costs and improve maintenance service to customers\nDemonstrate flexibility when tasks are reassigned or altered\nFollow maintenance quality and standard operating procedures as established\nWhat you bring:\n Current Ontario Certificate of Qualification -> Industrial Electrician #442A or #309A Construction Electrician with relevant industrial experience.\nApplicants must attach copy of their Certificate of Qualification with original issue date (#442A or #309A) to their application. If you have received a Certificate of Apprenticeship, please add this as well.\nExperience effectively troubleshooting equipment electrical/controls problems and investigating the root cause of such problems\nExperience in troubleshooting Rockwell programmable controller (PLC) systems (Control Logic & SLC)\nKnowledge of electrical and electronic equipment as well as various testing procedures to diagnose and repair/setup of such equipment\nExperience in the installation, trouble shooting and repair of DC Controllers and AC drives\nPhoto Electrics\nExperience in working with computerized maintenance management software (CMMS)\nAssist industrial mechanics or powered lift truck technicians when required\nAbility to work at heights up to 100 feet\nAbility to stand for long periods with occasional laying down, stooping and crouching, plus frequent heavy lifting\nConsidered an asset:\nExperience working on conveyors, sortation equipment, towlines, cranes & automated guided vehicles (AGV)\nDetailed programming of PLCs and PLC systems\nSiemens Simatic PLC troubleshooting experience\nExperience with Maximo\nDemonstrated ability to plan/execute own work effectively and efficiently\nDemonstrated ability to work effectively either alone or with other electricians\nPrevious mechanical repair & troubleshooting\nTechnical training via apprenticeship\nWe’re always looking for great talent!
