The Technical Writer I is also required to utilize and navigate through the SCS QSI document control system.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\n· Creates work instructions for SCS customer products.\n· Creates DCR’s and completes updates to SCS customer processes and MSP’s.\n· Ensures competent self-knowledge of tools and techniques for document control/technical writing.\n· Ensures proper supply and distribution of processes and documents in support of in-house production requirements.\n· Ensures proper supply of the materials and tools required to create the documents.\nADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\n· Adheres to plant and corporate safety policies.\n· May assist in other areas or perform other duties as required by fluctuating business needs.\nEDUCATION, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE:\nBachelor’s Degree in Technical Communication or other related area with 2+ years of experience in a technical writing capacity.\nBASIC SKILLS:\n· Demonstrated analytical and technical ability within field of expertise.\n· Possesses well-developed communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.\n· Is able to speak, read and write English.
