Cloud architecture and strategy\nDesign and implement cloud architectures using AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).\n\nDevelop cloud adoption, migration and infrastructure modernisation strategies.\n\nEvaluate cloud technologies and recommend suitable solutions based on performance, scalability, security and cost.\n\n2. Cloud infrastructure and operations\nDesign and manage cloud computing, storage, databases, networking and backup solutions.\n\nEstablish high availability, disaster recovery and business continuity capabilities.\n\nOversee cloud infrastructure deployment, monitoring, capacity planning and performance optimisation.\n\n3. Security and governance\nImplement cloud security policies, identity and access management (IAM), encryption and network security controls.\n\nEnsure compliance with internal IT policies and applicable data protection requirements.\n\nConduct security assessments and manage infrastructure vulnerabilities and risks.\n\n4. Cloud migration and integration\nLead migration of on-premises applications, servers and databases to cloud environments.\n\nDesign integrations between cloud platforms, enterprise applications and existing infrastructure.\n\nMinimise downtime and business disruption during migrations and system upgrades.\n\n5. Automation and DevOps\nImplement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.\n\nDevelop CI/CD pipelines and automate infrastructure provisioning and routine operational tasks.\n\nWork with development and operations teams to improve deployment efficiency and reliability.\n\n6. Stakeholder and vendor management\nCollaborate with IT teams, business users and external vendors on infrastructure projects.\nPrepare architecture diagrams, technical documentation, project plans and cost estimates.\nProvide technical leadership, troubleshoot complex issues and recommend continuous improvements\nRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.\n\nApproximately 5–8 years of relevant IT infrastructure, cloud engineering or architecture experience.\n\nDemonstrated hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Microsoft Azure or GCP.\n\nStrong knowledge of cloud networking, virtualisation, storage, databases, IAM and security.\n\nExperience with cloud migration, disaster recovery, backup and high-availability design.\n\nFamiliarity with scripting and automation tools such as Python, PowerShell, Bash or Terraform.\n\nUnderstanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD, monitoring and infrastructure management.\n\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, communication and stakeholder-management skills.\n\nRelevant cloud certifications, such as AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure
