Evaluates those training programs in place and assists in implementation of new programs.\nDevelops, conducts, and supports regularly scheduled safety training sessions to enhance.\nSafety-awareness and promote safe work habits.\nEnsures compliance with the Company’s drug screening policies including DOT FMCSA and non-DOT drug and alcohol testing programs.\nEstablishes and maintains a line of communication with operations management, customer vendors, educational institutions, professional organizations and applicable governmental agencies.\nAudits the training efforts of District HSE personnel for compliance with Company guidelines.\nConducts training sessions on a scheduled basis to ensure proper and adequately trained workforce. Conducts drills to ensure understanding and comprehension of training.\nPerforms and assumes other duties and responsibilities as may be required by immediate supervisor.\nJob Requirements:\nAn understanding of all applicable government laws, regulations and reporting procedures such as OSHA, D.O.T., A.P.I., R.R.C., E.P.A. and D.O.E.\nKnowledge of the industry’s safety, training and environmental concepts, standards and practices.\nA thorough knowledge of the techniques of accident investigation and loss control.\nA working knowledge of the oil well servicing industry and related equipment, materials and technology.\nProficient in effective conflict resolution and fostering positive employee engagement.\nA capability of developing programs and making presentations to employee groups.\nA knowledge of and ability to use Work Planning and Review Position Definition and Performance Review Systems.\nAn understanding of basic management concepts, including Training, Goal Setting, Employee Selection, Benefits, Motivation, Communication, Delegation and Organization.\nAbility to understand and speak English at a level of proficiency allowing employee to issue, receive and respond to both safety and operations-related directions in English\nMinimum Qualifications:\nH.S. Diploma or GED (Required).\nOne year experience in an HSE role or related experience The HSE Advisor supervises and assists the HSE personnel within a district. The position provides support and guidance to ensure that the Company's objectives are achieved in the areas of health, safety and environment. This includes providing assistance and instruction to all levels of management, safety personnel and employees in their efforts to reduce the frequency and severity of personal injuries, motor vehicle accidents, property damage losses and environmental releases. The position audits the safety efforts of all areas for standardization and implements the sharing of best practices. The position plans, develops, implements and monitors programs to ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures and all local, state and federal regulations.\nValid state-issued driver’s License\nPreferred Qualifications:\nFour-year college degree\nOHST, SMS, ASP, GSP, CSP Licenses/Certifications\nMilitary Experience\nAdditional Details:\nThis position requires the person to work in both office locations and outdoors in all types of weather conditions, including precipitation, cold/heat, high wind, and turbulent conditions. The HSE Advisor will be regularly exposed to the typical conditions of the local area where the drilling operations and rigs are located. This position involves occasional manual labor functions and duties.\nThe HSE Advisor must work with an emphasis on safety for themselves and others including coworkers and third parties. They must be able to work closely with others and under time-sensitive deadlines including potential emergency response situations.
