The vision also prioritizes regulatory excellence and equitableaccess to high-quality diagnostics across disease areas.\nPATH is supporting the Ministry of Health (MoH), Indonesia, and key national stakeholders in developing a strategic roadmap for diagnostics and medical devices, identifyinginnovative technologies including AI-enabled solutions, strengthening regulatory pathways, and fostering an enabling ecosystem for sustainable scale-up.\nPosition Summary\nPATH is seeking an experienced Senior Program Officer/ Program Officer-AIto providetechnical leadership and strategic guidance on the identification, assessment, deployment, and scale-up of AI-enabled health technologies within Indonesia's diagnostics and medical devices ecosystem.\nThe consultant will work closely with the Ministry of Health, regulatory agencies, public health institutions, industry stakeholders, and PATH technical teams to support the development of a national strategic framework and implementationroadmap. The role will focus on strengthening Indonesia's AI-enabled health technology ecosystem, advancing diagnostics access, supporting local manufacturing ambitions, and informing regulatory and policy recommendations.\nLocation: Delhi/ Jakarta\nKey Responsibilities\nTechnical Leadership and Strategy\nProvide technical leadership across project workstreams related to AI-enabled health technologies, diagnostics, and medical devices.\n\nSupport the development of a National Strategic Framework and Implementation Roadmap for medical devices and diagnostics in Indonesia.\n\nAdvise onopportunities for integrating AI technologies into public health and diagnostic systems.\n\nIdentifyemerging trends, innovations, and best practices in AI-enabled healthcare solutions relevant to Indonesia.\n\nTechnology Assessment and Innovation\nIdentify, assess, and curate innovative AI-enabled health technologies with potential for adoption and scale-up in Indonesia.\n\nEvaluate technologies based on public health relevance, feasibility, scalability, regulatory readiness, and local manufacturing potential.\n\nAnalyze opportunities for strengthening domestic innovation and self-reliance in diagnostics and medical devices.\n\nStakeholder Engagement and Coordination\nCollaborate closely with the Ministry of Healthand engage with regulatory authorities, industry representatives, public laboratories, development partners, and technical agencies.\n\nFacilitate technical consultations, workshops, expert discussions, and stakeholder engagement activities.\n\nMaintain effective communication and coordination between PATH and government counterparts.\n\nRegulatory and Policy Support\nProvide technical inputs on regulatory pathways, standards, governance frameworks, and policy considerations for AI-enabled health technologies.\n\nSupport the development of recommendations to strengthen the enabling environment for diagnostics and medical device innovation.\n\nContribute topolicy briefs, technical guidance documents, and strategic recommendations for government and partners.\n\nProject Implementation and Knowledge Management\nSupport planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of project activities.\n\nEnsure timelydelivery of technical outputs and project milestones.\n\nContribute to reports, presentations, knowledge products, and dissemination materials.\n\nParticipate in conferences, meetings, and knowledge-sharing forums as required.\n\nExpected Deliverables\nTechnical assessment report on AI-enabled health technologies and local manufacturing capabilities in Indonesia.\n\nCurated landscape of innovative AI-enabled medical devices and diagnostics relevant to Indonesia's public health priorities.\n\nRecommendations for strengthening AI adoption, regulatory frameworks, and ecosystem development.\n\nInputs to the National Strategic Framework and Implementation Roadmap for medical devices and diagnostics.\n\nDeployment models and scale-up strategies for priority AI-enabled health technologies.\n\nStakeholder consultation reports, workshop summaries, and technical meeting documentation.\n\nPolicy briefs, technical notes, and knowledgeproducts for government and partner dissemination.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nEducation\nPostgraduatedegree in Public Health, Health Technology, Biomedical Engineering, Health Informatics, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Health, Data Science, ora relatedfield.\n\nExperience\nMinimum 5-6 years of professional experience in AI-enabled health technologies, digital health innovation, diagnostics, medical devices, or related areas.\n\nDemonstrated experience supporting the development, implementation, or scale-up of AI solutions within healthcare or public health settings.\n\nExperience working with regulatory systems, standardsdevelopment, technology assessment, or health innovation ecosystems.\n\nProven experience supporting donor-funded, government-led, or multi-country health programs.\n\nExperience engaging with ministries of health, regulatory agencies, development partners, and private sector stakeholders.\n\nPreferred Experience\nPrior experience working in Indonesia or Southeast Asia.\n\nFamiliarity with Indonesian health sector institutions, including MoH, BPOM, BSN, provincial health offices, national public laboratories, and related stakeholders.\n\nUnderstanding ofAI governance, health data systems, diagnostics policy, and local manufacturing ecosystems.\n\nSkills and Competencies\nStrong technical expertisein AI applications for healthcare and diagnostics.\n\nKnowledge of health technology assessment, regulatory frameworks, and innovation ecosystems.\n\nExcellent stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.\n\nStrong analytical, report-writing, and presentation capabilities.\n\nAbility to work effectively across multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.\n\nExcellent project management and coordination skills.\n\nStrong verbal and written communication skills in English;
