You bring the real-world experience; you don't need a background in course design.\nWe're currently prioritizing UK-based candidates, though it's not a requirement.\nNote: We want your experience and professional judgement, not your employer's confidential information. We'll never ask you to share proprietary documents, internal procedures, or other non-public information from a current or former employer.\nWHAT YOU WILL DO:\nGive feedback and input on course content - review what we're building and tell us where it's accurate and where it doesn't match how the work is really done.\n\nLend real-world, on-the-floor expertise - what the job is actually like day to day, the knowledge that isn't in any textbook.\n\nHelp our learners - once the program launches, be a knowledgeable, credible person they can turn to with questions as they build confidence in an unfamiliar field.\n\nABOUT YOU\nYou have hands-on experience maintaining automated equipment - the kind found in warehouses, fulfillment centers, or similar facilities - across mechanical, electrical, and basic automation/controls. You've done the real diagnosis and repair, not just read about it.\n\nYou ideally hold relevant industry credentials - SACA certifications or micro-credentials, or comparable technical qualifications.\n\nYou understand the entry-level maintenance operator role and the people entering it. You may have worked in the role yourself, supervised or mentored operators, or worked alongside them as a technician.\n\nYou can spot when something isn't how it's really done and explain the right way clearly and specifically. Clear communication is key.\n\nYou're comfortable working with beginners. You can explain technical work patiently to people brand new to it, without dumbing it down or making them feel out of their depth.\n\nTeaching or training experience is a strong plus - if you teach mechatronics or maintenance at a community college or trade school, or have mentored apprentices and new technicians, you already know what beginners get stuck on.\n\nYou're available around 5- 10 hours a week on a contract basis, including some ongoing availability once the program is live to help answer learner questions.
