We celebrate, and embrace, our team members through our *HUMBLE*HUNGRY*SMART approach, and we believe that we are strongest when we embrace the voices of our employees, customers, partners, and the communities we serve. \nAbout the Role:\nManages the development, implementation and/or maintenance of one or more accounting systems: Journal entries, General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Revenue Reconciliation, Cash Flows, etc. in accordance with GAAP policies and procedures.\nWhat You Will Do:\nEnsures compliance with financial transaction recording standards (e.g., general ledger, cash payments/collections, tax transactions, etc.).\nPerforms control/reconciliation of accounts and records (balance sheet, P&L, bank accounts, etc.).\nPrepares accounting reports/schedules for internal audiences (management reporting) and/or for external audiences (compliance reporting) including consolidation of financial statements, cash flow reporting, budget reporting, etc.) may also include: Cost accounting/budgeting (allocation of direct/indirect costs, variance analysis, budget preparation, etc.).\nReviews and recommends policy changes, assess internal control structure and recommend changes.\nDevelops, maintains, monitors, and enforces accounting policies in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), as well as regulatory agency financial reporting and disclosure guidelines.\nPerforms reviews on technical accounting areas.\nReviews workflow for efficiencies and improvements and implements changes.\nDocuments and communicates complex technical accounting and financial reporting matters.\nEnsures the accurate compilation, analysis and reporting of accounting data and revenue.\nParticipates in annual audits and special projects. May work with external consultants or auditors to provide required information and ensure proper recordkeeping for historical purposes.\nResponsible for hiring, coaching, and performance management for direct reports.\nOther duties as assigned.\nWhat You Will Need:\nBachelor's degree or equivalent education and work experience.\nCPA preferred\nTypically 8+ years with bachelor's or equivalent.\nDistinguishing Characteristics:\nThis Accounting Director position will lead the Company’s Breakage Operations function, with responsibility for accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance activities related to prepaid card and deposit products sponsored and managed by the Company. The role oversees escheatment and other breakage-related processes, including the review of journal entries and GAAP-compliant financial reporting, compliance with state unclaimed property regulations, reconciliation and remittance of applicable funds, and the timely identification and resolution of operational issues. This leader will serve as a key liaison across internal business partners, external stakeholders, and regulatory constituencies, ensuring effective governance and execution of this highly specialized area of accounting operations.\nCompetencies:\nCollaboration\nBusiness acumen\nCommunication\nThe responsibilities listed above are not all inclusive and may be changed at any time.\nSalary range: $104,000- $174,000\nThe salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this role. Individual pay within the range will be determined by multiple factors which can include but are not limited to a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
