This includes managing dbt models, semantic layers (LookML), and BI frameworks that empower the company with trusted, self-service insights. The role requires hands-on expertise in modern analytics engineering practices, close collaboration with Data Engineering, Reporting, and Analytics teams, and the ability to align data products with business priorities. \nWhat You’ll Do \nTeam Leadership: \nLead, manage, and train a team of data visualization engineers and professionals. \nFoster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, collaboration, and improvement. \nOversee resource allocation, prioritization, and project delivery to ensure high-quality outcomes within deadlines. \nProvide mentorship and guidance to team members, cultivating a culture of accountability, collaboration, and growth. \nContribute to the development of frameworks, methodologies, and tools that improve how the company designs and delivers reliable data assets. \nData Strategy and Execution: \nDevelop and implement analytics engineering strategies aligned with business objectives with a focus on repeatable, scalable, and automated solutions. \nEnsure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of all data assets. \nCollaborate with Data Engineering, Data Reporting, Data Analytics, and Advanced Analytics teams to ensure data pipelines, tools, and dashboards for robust reporting and analytics meet the needs of the business. \nOwn and evolve the companies analytics engineering ecosystem, including shared ownership of dbt, Snowflake, and Looker. \nDefine and enforce standards for modeling, testing, documentation, and version control in dbt and BI layers. \nPartner with stakeholders to establish and maintain a governed set of core metrics. \nChampion self-service enablement, ensuring teams can access reliable data without bottlenecks. \nEnsure data quality, integrity and compliance with industry standards and regulations and the companies Data Governance standards. \nOwn the standardization of the companies metric layer to ensure consistent definitions across all BI tools and reports. \nBusiness Impact: \nPartner with business stakeholders and data teams, defining clear requirements, setting expectations, and communicating effectively and efficiently. \nEnsure business requirements are appropriately translated into technical specifications that clearly define the work. \nPresent insights and recommendations to executives and other decision-makers. \nEstablish and track objectives and key results (OKRs) to evaluate the effectiveness of strategic initiatives. \nDeliver analytics assets that reduce redundancy, accelerate time-to-insight, and promote consistency in metrics across the organization. \nWhat We Need \nBachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field. \n5+ years in a related data visualization or data engineering role. \n2+ years of experience managing or mentoring a team or contractors. \nAdvanced experience with dbt and Snowflake\nAdvanced SQL knowledge, including writing complex queries, optimizing performance, and working with large datasets. \nProven experience in developing and delivering within data visualization, reporting, or business intelligence. \nExcellent communication, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences. \nExperience with project management practices and methodologies.\nStrong understanding of data modeling principles, with the ability to apply statistical and analytical techniques when appropriate. \nDesired Qualifications \nExperience implementing dbt best practices (modular modeling, testing, documentation, CI/CD). \nLooker and Look ML Expertise\nDeep experience with semantic modeling and BI governance (LookML, Tableau, or equivalent). \nProven success driving adoption of self-service BI while maintaining governance and trust in data. \nProficiency in analytics tools such as Python (preferred), alongside SQL, Snowflake, and Looker. \nStrong understanding of data modeling, statistical analysis and data visualization. \nExperience with cloud computing environments (e.g., Snowflake, GCP, AWS, Azure). \nExpertise with relational and cloud-based database systems. \nWhat You'll Need to Succeed \nProven ability to lead and inspire teams in a fast-paced environment. \nStrong project management skills, with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within scope. \nExceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. \nExcellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. \nStrong ability to translate analytical concepts into clear, compelling stories that resonate with both technical and non-technical audiences. \nBase Salary Band: $129,700.00 - $185,400\nCompensation: At PatientPoint, we are committed to providing competitive pay and benefits that are in line with industry standards.
