In this role, you’ll help build PatientPoint’s next-generation unified platform using Python 3, Google Ad Manager, Operative AOS, Elasticsearch, and AWS. You want to build things that matter. \nWhat You’ll Do \nDesign, build, and maintain robust backend systems and APIs deployed in AWS across multiple technical domains \nDevelop scalable, high-performance solutions that follow modern software design principles and meet business requirements \nContribute to architectural discussions and drive implementation of clean, reusable solutions across services \nEnsure the stability, performance, and scalability of core platform services and APIs \nParticipate actively in Agile ceremonies such as planning, retrospectives, and story grooming \nConduct thorough code reviews, share technical feedback, and contribute to continuous code quality improvements \nCollaborate cross-functionally with Product, DevOps, and Security to support high-quality software delivery \nMentor peers and junior engineers through thoughtful collaboration and knowledge sharing. \nLeverage AI-based development tools (such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot) to accelerate development, generate and maintain tests, automate repetitive engineering tasks, and improve overall code quality and velocity. \nWhat We Need \n6+ years of experience in backend software engineering focused on building enterprise-grade applications \n4+ years developing scalable, high-performance, high availability microservices \n4+ years designing cloud-native architectures and implementing infrastructure as code \n4+ years of hands-on experience with relational databases and writing optimized SQL queries \n2+ years of Google Ad Manager or any other ad server experience. \n2+ years of front-end development experience using JavaScript, TypeScript, and frameworks such as React or Angular \nAdvanced proficiency in Python 3, with expert-level knowledge required (a coding assessment will be administered to evaluate this proficiency). \nElasticsearch experience or other cloud-native search technologies \nHands-on experience using AI-based development tools (such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot) to build production software and automate engineering workflows. \nDesired Qualifications \nHands-on experience with observability tools and performance monitoring platforms, including New Relic and Sentry \nBackground in containerization and orchestration platforms such as Docker, Amazon ECS, and Kubernetes \nFamiliarity with cloud security concepts and protocols including OAuth2, JWT, HMAC, data encryption, hashing, and secret management \nProven ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners such as Product, DevOps, and Security \nUnderstanding of digital advertising ecosystems and platforms such as Google Ad Manager, Kevel, Sizmek, and DV360 \nAwareness of healthcare compliance standards and regulatory frameworks like HIPAA and PHI \nExperience developing software with a focus on customer feedback and iterative improvement \nWhat You'll Need to Succeed \nSelf-motivation, strong ambition, and interest in directly impacting business results. \nResourcefulness, multi-tasking skills, and creative problem-solving skills. \nResiliency and ability to overcome challenges, sound business judgment. \nPassion for relationship building and building trusted partnerships. \n#LI-ED1 #LI-Remote\n\nAbout PatientPoint: \n PatientPoint® is the Point of Change company, transforming the healthcare experience through the strategic delivery of behavior-changing content at critical moments of care.
