We seek out steel-related opportunities and take on challenges to deliver outcomes that are mutually respected and mutually beneficial - fueling growth for our employees, our stakeholders, and the communities we call home.\nAbout the Role\nPatriot Erectors is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead Environmental, Health, and Safety activities at an assigned manufacturing facility.\nThis position serves as the primary EHS resource for the facility and partners directly with Shop Operations Leadership, supervisors, and employees to identify risk, maintain regulatory compliance, investigate incidents, deliver training, and continuously improve workplace safety.\nOur manufacturing operations include steel fabrication, welding, CNC and cutting equipment, overhead cranes, forklifts, MEWPs, paint operations, material handling, and other industrial processes.\nDepending on facility size and operational needs, this position may have direct reports. Regardless of staffing structure, the EHS Manager is responsible for the overall execution and effectiveness of the site's EHS program.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead day-to-day EHS activities for the assigned manufacturing facility.\nPartner with Operations Leadership and supervisors to integrate safety into production and work planning.\nConduct facility inspections, audits, hazard assessments, and employee observations.\nCoordinate and review JHAs, Pre-Task Plans, toolbox talks, and other hazard-control processes.\nIdentify workplace hazards and work with Operations to develop practical corrective actions.\nLead incident and near-miss investigations, Root Cause Analysis, corrective action development, and follow-up.\nCoordinate and deliver new-hire orientation, employee safety training, and applicable field employee training.\nMaintain compliance with applicable OSHA, environmental, fire and life safety, and company requirements.\nMaintain accurate safety documentation, training records, inspection results, corrective actions, and EHS system information.\nCoordinate safety equipment and PPE inventory needs with Operations and Procurement.\nReview EHS performance, incident trends, inspection findings, and other data to identify opportunities for improvement.\nSupport implementation and continuous improvement of company EHS programs, procedures, and initiatives.\nExercise Stop Work Authority when an immediate or unacceptable safety risk is identified.\nLead, coach, and develop assigned EHS personnel when applicable.\nRequired Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED.\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in a dedicated Environmental, Health, and Safety role.\nStrong working knowledge of OSHA standards applicable to manufacturing and industrial operations.\nExperience with incident investigations, hazard assessments, inspections, audits, employee training, and corrective action management.\nStrong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with employees, supervisors, Operations Leadership, and senior management.\nStrong organizational, documentation, and problem-solving skills.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office, electronic EHS systems, reporting tools, and other computer-based applications.\nOSHA 500 and/or OSHA 501 Trainer Course credential, or ability to obtain as required for the position.\nPreferred Qualifications\nManufacturing, steel fabrication, construction, or other high-hazard industry experience.\nBachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Health and Safety, or a related field.\nBCSP certification such as CSP, ASP, SMS, CHST, or similar professional designation.\nAdditional Train-the-Trainer credentials for forklifts, MEWPs, fall protection, rigging, First Aid/CPR/AED, or other applicable disciplines.\nPrevious experience leading or mentoring EHS personnel.\nWork Environment and Schedule\nThis is a full-time, on-site position supporting an active steel fabrication and manufacturing environment. The position requires regular presence throughout production areas and the ability to safely access areas necessary to evaluate work activities.\nThe normal schedule is Monday through Friday during the operating hours of the assigned facility.
