We are accepting applications for undergraduate and graduate students.\nThis is a full-time Summer 2027 internship that will last roughly 12 weeks and work a hybrid schedule from our office in Lehi, Utah.\nWhat is a day in the life of an AI Engineer Intern?\nAssist with data preprocessing, cleaning, and analysis to prepare high-quality datasets for model training.\n\nSupport the development and optimization of machine learning models, including tasks like fine-tuning hyperparameters and evaluating performance.\n\nParticipate in the deployment of AI solutions, collaborating with senior engineers to integrate models into production systems.\n\nDocument AI experiments, code, and project workflows to ensure clear and reproducible processes.\nResearch cutting-edge AI technologies and methodologies to contribute to the team's ongoing innovation efforts.\n\nWhat will I need to thrive in this role?\nCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field.\n\nFoundational knowledge of machine learning concepts and algorithms.\n\nProficiency in a programming language commonly used in AI, such as Python or Java.\n\nFamiliarity with at least one machine learning framework (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) is preferred.\nStrong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with an eagerness to learn and contribute in a collaborative environment.\nWhat does high performance look like?\nYou give 100% to all tasks and projects you are given\n\nYou actively comment and participate in group collaborations\n\nYou will take full ownership of your projects and follow through to completion\nYou follow through with all assignments in a timely manner\nWhat is my potential for career growth?\nYou will work extensively with members of the AI team at Pattern.
