The intern will work closely with the Pre-Construction team on two key initiatives focused on improving how we evaluate construction costs and EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) proposals. This opportunity is ideal for a student interested in renewable energy, construction management, engineering, estimating, or project development.\nInternship Accountabilities\nDevelop an organized cost benchmarking database using historical information and project estimates.\nHelp establish benchmarks that can support early-stage project estimating.\nIdentify trends and differences across project types and contractor proposals.\nOrganize historical information that can support future project evaluations\nSupport the Pre-Construction team in evaluating pricing and proposal assumptions\nComplete a meaningful summer project and present findings and recommendations at the conclusion of the internship\nInternship Learning & Development Opportunities:\nThrough this internship, the Pre-Construction Intern will have the opportunity to:\nGain practical exposure to construction estimating, cost benchmarking, contractor proposal analysis, and EPC procurement across multiple renewable energy technologies. \nBuild tools alongside the Pre-Construction team while developing a stronger understanding of how projects move from early-stage development toward construction.\nQualifications\nEducation/Experience Required\nCurrently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Finance, Business, or a related field.\nStrong analytical and quantitative skills with an interest in construction costs and project economics.\nProficiency with Microsoft Excel, including an interest in organizing and analyzing large datasets.\nStrong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies across complex information.\nEffective communication, organization, and problem-solving skills\nInterest in renewable energy, infrastructure, construction, estimating, or EPC procurement.\nThe expected starting pay rate for this role is $26.00 - $28.00 USD/Hour.
