If you are analytical, detail-oriented, and excited to learn how a high-growth ecommerce company plans, forecasts, and measures performance, we encourage you to apply!\nWhat does a typical day look like for an Financial Planning and Analysis intern?\nAssist with preparing and distributing financial analysis and reporting packages, and analyze information related to current performance versus budget and forecast\n\nWork with other Financial Analysts to prepare sensitivity analyses on the impact to revenue, expenses, and profitability by modeling changes in key variables\n\nDevelop detailed financial forecasts of the financial statements, incorporating key financial and operational metrics\n\nPull, clean, and reconcile financial and operational data from multiple sources, and ensure the numbers in your models and reports tie out\n\nPerform variance analysis, investigate the drivers behind the numbers, and summarize your findings for the FP&A team in a clear, concise way\n\nSupport month-end, quarterly, and annual budgeting and forecasting cycles with updates to models and supporting schedules\n\nBuild and refine reporting and dashboards that track key financial and operational metrics, and look for ways to make recurring reports more scalable and automated\n\nDocument model assumptions, methodologies, and processes so that your work can be reviewed, understood, and reused by others\n\nOwn a project or analysis during your internship and present your findings and recommendations to the FP&A team\nWhat will I need to thrive in this role?\nJunior or Senior in college working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or another related field\n\nFoundational knowledge of accounting and finance principles, including the three financial statements and how they connect\n\nAnalytical and financial modeling skills preferred\n\nConfident in Excel, VBA, MS Office, and Google Sheets skills\n\nFamiliarity with Cloud-based planning systems, NetSuite and Tableau preferred\n\nKnowledge of how to work with large amounts of data to develop scalable financial reporting solutions\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a habit of asking \"why\" behind the numbers and checking your work before you share it\n\nExceptional attention to detail and accuracy, especially when working with large volumes of financial data\n\nOutstanding communication and organization abilities, including the ability to explain financial concepts and findings clearly to non-finance teammates and to manage multiple priorities and deadlines\n\nHandle sensitive and confidential financial information with honesty and integrity\n\nCollaboration, receptiveness to feedback, and eagerness to learn\n\nWhat does high performance look like?\nYou follow through with all assignments in a timely manner\n\nYou give 100% to all tasks and projects you are given\n\nYou will take full ownership of your projects and follow through to completion\n\nYour models and reports are accurate, clearly documented, and trusted by the people who rely on them\n\nYou go beyond the numbers: you explain what is driving the results and recommend a clear next step\n\nYou spot issues and risks early and bring forward solutions, not just problems\n\nYou look for ways to automate or simplify recurring analyses and manual work\n\nYou ask thoughtful questions, seek out feedback, and apply it quickly\n\nWhat is my potential for career growth?\nThis role will provide opportunities for mentorship and networking.
