This is a full-time, hybrid opportunity based at our headquarters in Lehi, UT.\nWhat is a day in the life of a Sr. Financial Analyst?\nSupport planning, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and variance analysis for AI usage, compute, storage, and software costs\n\nPerform investment analysis and evaluate commercial decisions and strategic initiatives\n\nPrepare high-quality analyses, recommendations, and Exec and Board-facing presentations\n\nSupport business partners across compute infrastructure, FP&A, and strategic finance.\n\nWhat will I need to thrive in this role?\n3-5 years in a finance operating role at a high-growth technology company\n\nBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or other relevant fields\n\nBackground in infrastructure, data centers, compute, cloud, semiconductors, or a related industry strongly preferred\n\nExceptional analytical, financial modeling, and written and verbal communication skills\n\nProven ability to learn quickly and succeed in unfamiliar operating environments\n\nComfort independently structuring ambiguous problems and working through incomplete information\n\nTrack record of producing high-quality work under ambitious deadlines\n\nEffectiveness in multidisciplinary, cross-functional environments\n\nFamiliarity with data systems, analytical tools, and large datasets preferred but not required\n\nWhat does high performance look like?\nProactively identifies cost-saving or efficiency opportunities within complex compute, storage, and AI infrastructure datasets.\n\nTranslates technical infrastructure metrics into clear, actionable financial models that influence leadership decision-making.\n\nBuilds strong, trusting partnerships across finance and engineering teams, effectively communicating financial constraints and opportunities.\n\nConsistently delivers high-quality, 'audit-ready' analyses and Board-level presentations under tight deadlines.\n\nDemonstrates a 'Game Changer' mindset by continuously improving reporting processes and tackling ambiguous data problems independently.\n\nYou will take full ownership of your projects and follow through to completion\n\nWhat is my potential for career growth?\nAt Pattern, career paths are defined by your momentum. Bring your best, and you’ll have the opportunity to take full ownership of your role, influence our strategic direction, and help shape the future.\n\nWhat does success look like in the first 30, 60, 90 days?\n30 Days: Learning & Discovery\nConduct a deep dive into existing compute and AI infrastructure cost drivers, data sources, and current forecasting methodologies.\n\nEstablish baseline relationships with key business partners across engineering and compute operations to understand current pain points and reporting needs.\n\n60 Days: Analysis & Initial Ownership\nTake full ownership of the monthly reporting cycle for compute costs, proactively identifying variances and streamlining data collection.\n\nExecute a focused analysis of a specific AI/storage cost stream to identify potential efficiency or optimization opportunities.\n\n90 Days: Strategy & Execution\nPropose and initiate a strategic optimization project based on findings from initial analysis, presenting a data-backed recommendation to stakeholders.\n\nBegin leading ad-hoc investment analyses for strategic initiatives, demonstrating the ability to structure ambiguous problems and communicate results to leadership.\n\nWhat is the team like?\nYou will work with the other Financial Analysts and be supervised by the FP&A Manager. You will also be mentored by the Head of FP&A and meet with them on a regular basis to discuss your performance. This team is data driven and results oriented.
