Schumacher & Co., also known as FSCO, is the parent company to many brands within our portfolio. \nPARAMOUNT PRINTS \nYOU WILL: \nCreate, edit, and finalize color separations for screen printing, including halftone, spot color, CMYK and index separations. \nEnsure the final separations match the approved artwork and retains detail, while considering the nuances of screen printing. \nAccount for mesh counts, halftone/LPI settings, screen angles, and ink opacity/behavior on different fabrics when building separations \nPrepare engraving files for production \nCommunicate with designers to resolve artwork or production questions or call outs before engravings are executed. \nExecute simple layouts and adjust repeats and scale where necessary \nScan and piece together documents, as needed \nTrack screen usage, remakes, and keep accurate production logs. \nCoordinate engraving of oversized screens with outsourced vendor \nAssist with the organization of files, ensuring clarity for production printing \nWork closely with Head of Design and Director of Production Planning from initial contact through approval of final designs \nClear communication of timing for each project \nYOU HAVE/ARE: \nExpertise in Photoshop and Illustrator \nKnowledge of coloring programs like AVA or Ned Graphics a plus \n1-3 years of experience in separation work a plus \nStrong working knowledge of screen-print production itself: inks, underbases, trapping, halftones, mesh counts, and fabric/substrate considerations. \nA sensitive eye for color \nAn understanding of pattern repeats and layouts \nDetail oriented, organized and thorough \nA no-task-is-too-small attitude and willingness to pitch in as needed \nFlexible and responsive to shifting priorities \nAbility to work independently and efficiently under pressure, multi-task, follow directions, stay organized, and happily execute revisions with a high level of accuracy \nTO APPLY \nResume and portfolio are required \nWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity, inclusion, and equality in the workplace.
