The position provides support and guidance for the District to ensure that the Company's objectives are achieved in the areas of health, safety and environment. This includes providing assistance and instruction to all levels of management, safety personnel and employees in their efforts to reduce the frequency and severity of personal injuries, motor vehicle accidents, property damage losses and environmental releases. The position audits the safety efforts of all areas in the District for standardization and implements the sharing of best practices. The position plans, develops, implements and monitors programs to ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures and all local, state and federal regulations.\nDetailed Description:\nConducts safety and environmental assessments and inspection of records, equipment and facilities to promote compliance with safety regulations and recordkeeping requirements as established by the Company and/or local, state or federal laws.\nDevelops, implements, and communicates Company safety and environmental policies and procedures in all areas of field operations.\nProvides expertise in accident investigation and review boards to assist in identifying the cause and corrective measures necessary to prevent recurrence.\nRecommends accident reduction goals and strategies from an analysis of available reports and statistics.\nAssists in identifying training needs for the District. Evaluates those training programs in place and assists in implementation of new programs.\nDevelops, conducts and supports regularly scheduled safety training sessions to enhance.\nSafety-awareness and promote safe work habits.\nEnsures compliance with the Company’s drug screening policies including DOT FMCSA and non-DOT drug and alcohol testing programs.\nEstablishes and maintains a line of communication with operations management, customer vendors, educational institutions, professional organizations and applicable governmental agencies.\nAudits the training efforts of District HSE personnel for compliance with Company guidelines.\nConducts training sessions on a scheduled basis to ensure proper and adequate trained workforce. Conducts drills to ensure understanding and comprehension of training.\nPerforms and assumes other duties and responsibilities as may be required by immediate supervisor.\nJob Requirements:\nRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nAn understanding of all applicable government laws, regulations and reporting procedures such as OSHA, D.O.T., A.P.I., R.R.C., E.P.A. and D.O.E.\nKnowledge of the industry’s safety, training and environmental concepts, standards and practices.\nA thorough knowledge of the techniques of accident investigation and loss control.\nA working knowledge of the oil well servicing industry and related equipment, materials and technology.\nA capability of developing programs and making presentations to employee groups.\nA knowledge of and ability to use Work Planning and Review Position Definition and Performance Review Systems.\nAn understanding of basic management concepts, including Training, Goal Setting, Employee Selection, Benefits, Motivation, Communication, Delegation and Organization.\n\nLanguage Comprehension:\nMust understand and speak English proficiently to issue, receive, and respond to safety and operations-related directions.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nEducation: High School Diploma or GED.\nExperience: 2-4 years of HSE experience.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) roles\n\nPhysical Demands:\nSedentary Work: Exerts up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.\nActivities involve sitting most of the time, with occasional walking and standing.\n\nAdditional Details:\nThis role requires adherence to safety protocols and the ability to manage schedules effectively in a dynamic environment.
