With nearly 300 retail locations, we proudly employ more than 30,000 team members.\nWe have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Enterprise Solution Architect to join our IT team in Langley, BC.\nReporting to the Director, Enterprise Architecture, you will work collaboratively with IT project teams and business stakeholders to develop information, integration, and application solutions that align with Pattison Food Group’s technology standards and business goals.\nYou will be responsible for:\nProviding technical leadership, from strategic decision-making to project planning.\nMonitoring and assessing the solution portfolio to identify deficiencies, including aging technologies or misaligned applications.\nAnalyzing the business-IT environment to address critical deficiencies, legacy issues, and technical debt, while recommending improvements.\nSupporting the design and construction of data integration and business application architectures.\nCollaborating with IT and business stakeholders to align solutions with business and IT objectives.\nEnsuring solutions are secure, scalable, extensible, and supportable over the long-term.\nDeveloping standards, policies, best practices, and reference architectures to guide solution designs and implementations.\nMentoring technology teams on technical concepts while staying updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to support strategic alignment.\nYou have:\nAn undergraduate or master’s degree in computer science/engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in a large and complex retail organization.\n7+ years of technology experience, including Java EE, JavaScript, React, and web development.\nA strong understanding of integration platforms (service buses, API gateways) and modern integration styles (RESTful APIs, messaging).\nExperience with enterprise databases (Oracle, SQL Server), Azure Cloud, and familiarity with XML, JSON, and Linux/Windows environments.\nExperience with JBoss, Apache, and architecture modeling tools.\nAzure certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals), along with familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes, is considered an asset.\nA proven ability to define the strategy and architectural direction for real-time data streaming in large-scale, complex environments, ensuring seamless integration, scalability, and alignment with business objectives is considered an asset.\nA strong understanding of security best practices, compliance standards, Active Directory, Entra ID, and Agile methodologies, including experience using tools such as Jira and Scrum, is considered an asset.\nYou are:\nAble to translate business needs into technical architecture capabilities.\nAble to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies.\nA curious learner who stays informed on emerging technologies and is motivated by long-term results and achieving targeted business outcomes.\nA proactive relationship builder who creates partnerships and maintains a high level of trust with stakeholders to drive outcomes.\nWhat we offer:\nIn addition to a highly competitive salary, we offer a great range of benefits, a company pension plan, free parking, exclusive team member offers, and opportunities for development and career progression.\nIf you’re looking to join a team that puts people first, you’re in the right place.
