With nearly 300 retail locations, we proudly employ nearly 30,000 team members.\nWe have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Solution Architect to join our IT team in Langley, BC.\nReporting to the Sr. Manager, Application Support, you will be responsible for defining, designing, and delivering enterprise-scale Intelligent Automation, Artificial Intelligence, and process automation solutions that drive operational efficiency and business value across Retail, Finance and Supply Chain functions. In this role, you will design scalable platform-agnostic automation architectures, evaluate emerging technologies, and deliver AI-driven solutions that support our business objectives.\n You will be responsible for:\nDesigning end-to-end Intelligent Automation solutions leveraging workflow automation, RPA, AI, ML, and AI agents, with scalable architectures across application, data, integration, and automation layers.\n\nEvaluating, selecting, and implementing automation and AI technologies (Azure AI, Copilot Studio, Databricks, and open-source platforms) while determining the most appropriate platform for each use case.\n\nDriving the development of enterprise AI agents within PFG's Azure environment, with appropriate governance, security, and responsible AI practices.\n\nActing as an advocate for Intelligent Automation by facilitating discovery workshops and ideation sessions and translating business challenges into automation opportunities.\n\nIdentifying, assessing, and prioritizing automation opportunities, defining automation roadmaps and championing independent business value initiatives outside formal project pipelines.\n\nDeveloping business cases that quantify benefits, ROI, costs, and expected outcomes, and presenting strategies, roadmaps, and recommendations to senior leadership.\n\nInfluencing investment decisions, platform selection, and initiative prioritization with senior leadership and the Intelligent Automation team.\n\nEstablishing architecture standards, governance frameworks, design principles, and reusable automation patterns.\n\nPartnering with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful adoption, operational readiness, and long-term sustainability of solutions.\n\nDriving continuous improvement of Intelligent Automation capabilities, processes, and platforms across the organization.\n\nYou have:\nA bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Business Technology Management, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferably in a large and complex organization.\n\n10+ years of progressive IT experience including software development, automation, systems integration, and solution architecture.\n\nDemonstrated career progression from software developer or engineer to technical leadership and solution architectural roles, with experience building, scaling, and supporting enterprise solutions in productions environment.\n\nStrong hands-on experience with software development, process automation, systems integration, or cloud-based solution delivery, and a deep understanding of system design, debugging, and production support.\n\nExperience working within complex enterprise environments, including Retail, Finance, Supply Chain, ERP, or related business systems.\n\nStrong understanding of solution architecture, application design, data architecture, security, governance, and scalability principles.\n\nRelevant certifications such as Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure AI Engineer Associate, or TOGAF are considered assets.\n\nYou are:\nStrategic and innovative in driving automation and business value.\n\nAn effective communicator and cross-functional collaborator who can influence senior leadership and key stakeholders.\n\nA natural strong problem solver with strong analytical and technical expertise.\n\nResults-driven, adaptable, and detail-oriented.\n\nWhat we offer:\nIn addition to a highly competitive salary, we offer a great range of benefits, a company pension plan, free parking, exclusive team member offers, and opportunities for development and career progression.\nIf you’re looking to join a team that puts people first, you’re in the right place.
