The University fosters a culture of truth, respect, and lifelong learning, built on its core values of Community, Respect, Integrity, Service, and Professionalism (CRISP).\n\nWe are recruiting to fill the position below:\n\nJob Title: Research Assistant - Research Cluster I\n\nLocation: Lagos\n\nJob type: Full-time\n\nJob Summary\n\nTo support the Cluster Head and faculty members in research across Macroeconomic Policy and Development; Finance, Accounting and Governance; and Trade, Investment and Development Finance.\nThe role involves research and data analysis, monitoring relevant trends, preparing research outputs, and maintaining accurate records of research activities.\n\nJob Description\n\nSupport Cluster seminars, workshops, conferences and research engagement with industry, government and development-sector partners.\nThe responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:\nConduct literature reviews, desk research and evidence gathering from credible academic, policy and industry sources.\nMonitor relevant macroeconomic, financial, trade, investment and sustainability trends and prepare briefings when requested.\nCollect, clean, organise and analyse economic, financial, trade, investment and development\u0002related data; assist with quantitative and qualitative research.\nSupport the preparation and editing of research papers, policy briefs, reports, presentations, conference papers, manuscripts and grant proposals, including referencing and formatting.\nMaintain research databases, datasets, bibliographies and records; track project, publication and deliverable progress.\nPerform other research-related duties assigned by the Cluster Head.\nIdentify relevant calls for papers, conferences, grants and funding opportunities and share them with the Cluster Head and faculty.\n\nQualifications\n\nBachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Trade, Investment, Development, Sustainability, or a related field is desirable.\nFamiliarity with research methods, data analysis, academic referencing, and research ethics is an advantage.\n\nRequirements/Competencies:\n\nStrong research, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.\nStrong written and verbal communication, accuracy, and attention to detail\nAbility to find, assess and synthesise information from academic and professional sources.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word;
