You’ll be directly responsible for maintaining clean books, executing accurate closes, managing core accounting operations, and ensuring financial information is reliable and decision-ready.\nYou will own:\nMonth-end close and GAAP financial reporting\nMulti-entity accounting and general ledger accuracy\nAccounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)\nPayroll processing and employee setup\nU.S. sales tax compliance\nBudgeting, forecasting, and custom reporting\nAccounting process improvement and documentation\nIf you have strong experience with GAAP, accrual accounting, QuickBooks, multi-entity accounting, payroll, and U.S. sales tax, this role offers significant ownership and direct exposure to leadership.\nWhat You’ll Own\nMonth-End Close & Financial Reporting\nExecute accurate and timely month-end close processes\nPrepare financial statements and custom reports aligned with business and client requirements\nMaintain financial records in accordance with U.S. GAAP\nPrepare and maintain organized supporting schedules and workpapers\nReview accounts for discrepancies and resolve issues before close\nEnsure financial reporting remains accurate, consistent, and audit-ready\nMulti-Entity Accounting & General Ledger\nMaintain accurate general ledgers across multiple entities and/or locations\nManage accruals, reconciliations, journal entries, and account classifications\nEnsure transactions are recorded accurately and consistently\nMaintain structured accounting records across multiple businesses\nIdentify and resolve accounting discrepancies proactively\nAccounts Payable & Accounts Receivable\nOversee day-to-day Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations\nMonitor outstanding balances, vendor payments, and receivables\nEnsure transactions are properly recorded and reconciled\nMaintain accurate supporting documentation\nHelp improve AP/AR workflows and financial controls\nPayroll & Employee Setup\nProcess payroll accurately and on schedule using Gusto or similar payroll platforms\nSet up and maintain employee information within payroll systems\nMaintain payroll documentation and records\nEnsure payroll processes follow applicable requirements and internal procedures\nInvestigate and resolve payroll discrepancies when necessary\nU.S. Sales Tax & Compliance\nCalculate and file U.S. state sales tax obligations\nTrack filing requirements and deadlines across applicable jurisdictions\nMaintain organized supporting documentation for tax filings\nEnsure filings are completed accurately and on time\nSupport broader accounting compliance and audit-readiness initiatives\nFinancial Reporting, Budgeting & Forecasting\nBuild customized financial and management reports\nSupport budgeting and forecasting processes\nAnalyze financial results and identify discrepancies or trends\nProvide leadership with clear and reliable financial information\nHelp translate accounting data into actionable business insights\nProcess Improvement & Accounting Systems\nReview existing accounting workflows and identify inefficiencies\nStandardize processes across multiple clients, entities, or locations\nCreate and maintain accounting SOPs and process documentation\nImprove reporting, reconciliation, close, and compliance workflows\nHelp establish scalable accounting systems and stronger internal controls\nClient & Leadership Coordination\nCommunicate clearly with leadership regarding financial priorities and deadlines\nSupport client-facing accounting communication when required\nCoordinate reporting requirements and expectations\nProactively raise discrepancies, risks, and accounting issues\nEnsure stakeholders have confidence in the accuracy of financial information\nRequired Experience & Skills\n5+ years of professional accounting or finance experience\nStrong hands-on experience with accrual accounting and U.S. GAAP\nExperience managing accounting for multiple entities and/or multiple locations\nAdvanced proficiency with QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, or QuickBooks Enterprise\nStrong understanding of:\nGeneral ledger accounting\nMonth-end close\nFinancial reporting\nAP and AR\nAccount reconciliations\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:\nXLOOKUP\nINDEX/MATCH\nPivot Tables\nHands-on payroll experience using Gusto or similar systems\nExperience calculating and filing U.S. state sales tax\nStrong written and verbal English communication skills\nHigh attention to detail and strong organizational ability\nAbility to work independently during U.S. business hours\nNice to Have\nExperience with NetSuite\nFamiliarity with ADP or Paylocity\nExperience using Bill.com or Ramp\nExperience working with
