You’ll receive clear goals around test coverage and reliability rather than step-by-step instructions, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working independently and improving systems proactively.\nWhat You’ll Own\nTest Automation & Coverage\nWrite and maintain automated end-to-end tests using Playwright\nExpand coverage across critical product workflows\nBuild regression tests that run automatically on every pull request\nTest workflows including dashboards, detection workflows, device management, user permissions, and settings\nKeep the test architecture clean, maintainable, and scalable as the product grows\nTest Infrastructure & Reliability\nOwn the reliability of the automated test suite and CI pipeline\nDiagnose and reduce flaky tests\nManage test data and seed data requirements\nMonitor and improve staging environment stability\nMaintain reliable test execution as the product and test suite expand\nAI-Assisted Exploratory Testing\nUse AI-assisted browser automation to explore edge cases and uncover bugs\nWork with Claude and LLM-based tools as part of daily testing workflows\nExperiment with AI-driven testing approaches beyond scripted test cases\nIdentify issues that traditional automated regression tests may not catch\nContinuously explore ways to improve QA efficiency through AI tooling\nEngineering Collaboration\nWork directly with frontend and backend engineers throughout the development cycle\nCollaborate on testing requirements and critical product flows\nCommunicate test failures, bugs, and reliability issues clearly\nContribute to a culture where engineers trust and act on automated test results\nTake ownership of QA improvements without relying on layers of project management\nRequirements\n3-5 years of QA, software testing, or test automation experience preferred\nCandidates with less experience will also be considered if they demonstrate strong automation skills and relevant hands-on experience\nStrong TypeScript skills and the ability to write clean, maintainable test code\nHands-on experience with Playwright, Cypress, or a similar E2E testing framework\nStrong understanding of web application testing\nUnderstanding of DOM interaction, network requests, and asynchronous behavior\nAbility to diagnose and troubleshoot flaky automated tests\nExperience creating or maintaining automated regression tests\nAbility to work independently and take ownership of testing goals\nStrong problem-solving and debugging skills\nWillingness to learn and use AI tools as part of the testing workflow\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to test reliability\nNice to Have\nExperience building E2E testing infrastructure from scratch\nExperience integrating automated tests into CI pipelines\nExperience with test data management, parallelization, and test reporting\nHands-on experience with Playwright specifically\nExperience testing complex B2B web applications\nExperience with multi-tenant applications and role-based access\nExperience testing multi-step workflows\nFamiliarity with Claude or other AI/LLM-based development and testing tools\nExperience working with React applications\nFamiliarity with Sentry, GCP Stackdriver, or similar observability tools\nWhat Makes You a Strong Fit\nYou’ll thrive in this role if you:\nPrefer building automated testing systems over relying primarily on manual QA\nEnjoy improving test coverage and reliability proactively\nCan work independently from high-level goals\nAre comfortable diagnosing problems rather than waiting for detailed instructions\nHave strong curiosity about AI-assisted testing and emerging tools\nEnjoy working directly with engineers in a small, fast-moving team\nCare about building test suites that engineers genuinely trust\nThink beyond individual test cases and consider the reliability of the overall QA system\nTech Stack\nTypeScript -
